Nurul Haq Nur
Nurul Haque Nur ( bn, নুরুল হক নুর) is a Bangladeshi activist and politician. He came to prominence in 2018 as a joint-convener of Bangladesh Sadharon Chhatra Odhikar Songrokkhon Parishad, which led the Quota Reform Movement. In 2019, he was elected as the vice president of Dhaka University Central Students' Union (DUCSU). He is currently the convener of the Chatro, Jubo and Probashi Odhikar Porishod. Early life Nurul Huque Nur attended the SSC examination from Gol Abdur Rahim Secondary School, Companir hat 2010 and participated in the HSC examination from Uttara High School and College, Dhaka in 2012. Activism In 2018, Nur became a joint-convenor of Bangladesh Sadharan Chhatra Adhikar Sangrakshan Parishad, which led the Quota Reform Movement. Patuakhali () is a district in South-central Bangladesh in the Barisal Division. This district is the main entrance for the beach of Kuakata. Geography It is adjacent to the Bay of Bengal. Amanullah Aman
Amanullah Aman is a Bangladesh Nationalist Party politician and the former Member of Parliament. He is the joint secretary general of BNP. Early life Aman was born in Keraniganj Upazila, Dhaka District. Career Aman started his political career in the Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal. He was elected as Vice President of Dhaka University Central Students' Union in 1990. He was one of the most prominent student leaders of anti autocracy movement in 1990 which resulted in resignation of General Ershad and a subsequent free fair election under caretaker government. Aman was first elected as the Member of Parliament for Dhaka-3 at the 1991 general election. He received 97,299 votes while his nearest rival, Mostafa Mohsin Montu of Awami League, received 66,220. Dhaka University Central Students' Union, also known by its acronym DUCSU, is the official students' union of the University of Dhaka. Called the second parliament of Bangladesh, DUCSU represents Dhaka University students in the university's decision-making, acts as the voice for students in the national higher education policy debate, and to provides direct services to the student body. History It was established in the academic year of 1923-24 as Dhaka University Student Union. Its first constitution was drafted in its general assembly on 30 October 1925. In 1953, its constitution was amended and the union was renamed Dhaka University Central Students' Union. The chancellor of the university acts as the president of the Union while other posts are elected from the students representatives. A teacher acts as the treasurer. 2018 Bangladesh Quota Reform Movement
The 2018 Bangladesh Quota Reform Movement was a students' movement demanding reforms in policies regarding recruitment in the Bangladesh government services. Bangladesh Sadharan Chhatra Adhikar Sangrakshan Parishad (Bangladesh General Students' Right Conservation Council) initiated movement initially began in Shahbag and on Dhaka University campus on 17 February 2018, and eventually spread country-wide by 8 April 2018. The movement rapidly attained popularity among students of different universities and colleges forcing the government to announce changes in its policy.
