''Nuestra Casa A La Izquierda Del Tiempo'' (''Our Home On The Left Side Of Time'') is a compilation album by La Oreja de Van Gogh. It was released on 220 October 2009, only one year after the release of the band's previous recording, ''A las cinco en el Astoria''. It contains new versions of some of the band's biggest hits from its previous five albums, including tracks originally sung by former band-member Amaia Montero. All songs were re-recorded by the group to include Leire Martínez, who had recently been introduced as the band's new singer. The Bratislava Symphony Orchestra provided further musical accompaniment, giving a more acoustic and orchestral feel to the original songs. The album also included the song "Loa Loa" ("Sleep, Sleep"), a traditional lullaby in Basque performed a cappella. La Oreja de Van Gogh (; English: "Vincent van Gogh, Van Gogh's Ear") is a Spanish Pop music, pop band from San Sebastián, Donostia-San Sebastián, Spain. The band's lyrics and compositions are written primarily by Xabi San Martín, and additionally by Pablo Benegas and Amaia Montero (who remained in the group until her departure in 2007). The lyrical themes of their songs typically include love, friendship and relationships. Since their debut, they have sold more than 8 million albums worldwide. Leire Martínez
Leire Martínez Ochoa (born 22 June 1979 in Errenteria, Guipúzcoa), is a Spanish singer, songwriter and the current lead vocalist of the band La Oreja de Van Gogh after Amaia Montero's departure in 2007. She participated in the television show Factor X in 2007 performing covers of Julieta Venegas, Vanessa Paradis and Lisa Stansfield. She was eliminated on the 6th week. In 2008, after her performances in Factor X, Leire was selected to replace Amaia Montero in La Oreja de Van Gogh. Amaia Montero
Amaia Montero Saldías (; born 26 August 1976) is a Spanish singer and songwriter mainly known as the former vocalist of the Spanish pop-band La Oreja de Van Gogh between 1996 and 2007. Amaia has sung in a variety of languages, including Basque, Spanish, Catalan, Italian, French and English. She also wrote some of the most successful singles of the band on their original versions, including "Mariposa" (2000) and "Puedes Contar Conmigo" (2003) among many others. Including her work with the band, Montero has sold over 10 million albums worldwide. Background Amaia Montero is the daughter of José Montero and Pilar Saldías, and has an older sister, named Idoia.
