Nuestra Belleza México 2017
The 23rd annual Nuestra Belleza México pageant held on March 11, 2017. Contestants from around Mexico competed for the national title, which was won by Denisse Franco from Sinaloa who will compete at Miss Universe 2017. Denisse was crowned by outgoing Nuestra Belleza México titleholder Kristal Silva. Denisse is the third Sinaloa to win this title. Results Nuestra Belleza México Contestants 32 contestants have been confirmed: Replacements * – Estefania Carrillo was the winner of Nuesta Belleza Nayarit 2016 but resigned from the title because of personal reasons. Denisse Franco
Denisse Iridane Franco Piña (born March 3, 1998) is a Mexican model and beauty pageant titleholder who won Miss Mexico 2017. Franco was previously won Nuestra Belleza México 2017 and represented Mexico at the Miss Universe 2017 pageant, but she failed to enter the Top 16 semifinals, and she was the last candidate to hold the title of ''Nuestra Belleza Mexico'' before the organization changed its name to ''Mexicana Universal''. Miss Universe 2017 was the 66th Miss Universe pageant, held at The AXIS at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas, Nevada, United States on November 26, 2017. At the end of the event, Iris Mittenaere of France crowned Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters of South Africa as Miss Universe 2017. It is South Africa's first victory in almost 4 decades, and the second victory of the country in the pageant's history. Contestants from 92 countries and territories competed in this year's pageant, surpassing the previous record of 89 contestants in 2011 and 2012. The pageant was hosted by Steve Harvey in his third consecutive year, and supermodel Ashley Graham. Television personality Carson Kressley and runway coach Lu Sierra provided commentary and analysis throughout the event. Recorded and produced by Rudy Pagliuca, it is a free download on the website of the record label All of the Above. The album was nominated for "Best Latin Pop, Rock or Urban Album" in the 54th Grammy Awards. The two singles from this album are "Radio Capital" and "Danz!". Background and Recording The album was recorded in Caracas in 2009, on fairly independent terms. Guitarist Daniel De Sousa happened to be studying engineering at the time, and took on designing a distortion pedal that was used on the album. Miss International 2017
Miss International 2017, the 57th Miss International pageant, was held on November 14, 2017 at Tokyo Dome City Hall in Tokyo, Japan. Kylie Verzosa of the Philippines crowned her successor Kevin Lilliana of Indonesia at the end of the event. This edition also saw the crowning of the first ever moslem women to win Miss International, and was the first to win one of the four major international pageants for Indonesia. The show was hosted by Tetsuya Bessho on his fourth consecutive year. Amy Ota co-hosted the event, with a performance by Chemistry.
