''Novosti'' ( sr-Cyrl, Новости, ) is a Croatian weekly magazine based in Zagreb. It is published by the Serb National Council. The organization was established in July 1997 in Zagreb, based on the provisions granting the right to self-government for Serbs in Croatia as set in the Erdut Agreement. The magazine, billed as an "independent Serb weekly" (''samostalni srpski tjednik''), describes its editorial policy as being primarily concerned with covering general news and publishing "critical writing about all the relevant political, social and cultural developments in Croatia". It also deals with issues related to the Serb community in Croatia and the development of civil society. As of December 2009 its circulation is 8,000. Its editor-in-chief is Ivica Đikić, formerly of '' Novi list'' daily. Zygmunt Bauman
Zygmunt Bauman (; 19 November 1925 – 9 January 2017) was a Polish sociologist and philosopher. He was driven out of the Polish People's Republic during the 1968 Polish political crisis and forced to give up his Polish citizenship. He emigrated to Israel; three years later he moved to the United Kingdom. He resided in England from 1971, where he studied at the London School of Economics and became Professor of Sociology at the University of Leeds, later Emeritus. Bauman was a social theorist, writing on issues as diverse as modernity and the Holocaust, postmodern consumerism and liquid modernity. The Croatian Journalists' Association ( hr, Hrvatsko novinarsko društvo or HND) is a Croatian association based in Zagreb aimed at promoting freedom of the press and free speech in journalism. The association was founded in December 1910 and has over 3,000 members. It arranges debates on current topics and hands out annual prizes for excellence in journalism. Mirjana Karanović ( sr-cyr, Мирјана Карановић; born 28 January 1957) is a Serbian actress, film director and screenwriter. Andrej Nikolaidis
Andrej Nikolaidis (born 1974) is a Montenegrin- Bosnian novelist, columnist, and political adviser. His novel ''Sin'' (The Son) won the European Union Prize for Literature in 2011. The English translation was published in 2013 by Istros Books in the United Kingdom. From October 2009 to February 2014 he was adviser to Ranko Krivokapić, speaker of the Montenegrin Parliament. Vesna Teršelič (born in 1962) is a peace activist who founded the Anti-War Campaign of Croatia. In 1998, she was joint recipient of the Right Livelihood Award along with Katarina Kruhonja of the Centre for Peace, Non-violence and Human Rights, Osijek. Mladen Ivanić
Mladen Ivanić ( sr-cyr, Младен Иванић, ; born 16 September 1958) is a Bosnian Serb politician who served as the 6th Serb Member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina from 17 November 2014 until 20 November 2018. He is the founder, member and former president of the Party of Democratic Progress. Ivanić also served as Minister of Foreign Affairs from 23 December 2002 until 11 January 2007. Filip David
Filip David ( sr-cyr, Филип Давид; born 4 July 1940) is a Serbian writer and screenwriter, best known for penning essays, dramas, short stories and novels. In 2015, he won the NIN Award for best Serbian novel of the year 2014 for his novel ''"Kuća sećanja i zaborava"'' (''The House of Remembering and Forgetting'').
