Novi Zagreb – Istok
Novi Zagreb – istok (, "New Zagreb – east") is a district in Zagreb, Croatia. Within this district in the neighborhood of Travno lies Mamutica, which was built to be the largest communal housing block in southeast Europe. Mamutica towers above other blocks of flats so that the impression is given that it must be on a hill even though the entire area is a flat plain. In the north of Novi Zagreb, just south of the river Sava, is lake Bundek. Though originally a gravel pit, nature has reclaimed it and it is now an area of woods, brushwood and ponds. In the year 2006, lake Bundek was hastily decorated; it now has a beach and some amusing accessories. Novi Zagreb-istok has the status of a city district (''gradska četvrt'') and as such has an elected council. Novi Zagreb-istok had 59,055 residents during the 2011 census. Zapruđe
Zapruđe is a neighbourhood in Zagreb, in the Novi Zagreb East District just south of Sava River near the Youth Bridge. The Zapruđe local committee had a population of 6,184 at the 2011 census. As of 2012, the district consists mostly of residential high-rises, but it also has several chain stores, a butcher, a post office, a bank, a school, a kindergarten, a library, a community hall, a health center, and a pharmacy. It has its own festivals and traditions, such as the Zapruđe Festival, and a soccer team, NK Zapruđe. Utrina (colloquially Utrine) is a residential neighborhood located in the Novi Zagreb - istok (New Zagreb - east) district of Zagreb, Croatia. It is bordered by Avenija Dubrovnik (Dubrovnik Avenue) on the north side, Ulica Savezne Republike Njemačke (Federal Republic of Germany Street) on the west side, Ukrajinska ulica (Ukraine street) on the south side, and Sarajevska cesta (Sarajevo road) on the east side. Travno
Travno is an urban settlement of the Croatian capital of Zagreb, located in a city district of Novi Zagreb – istok. Jakuševec
Jakuševec is a neighborhood in the Novi Zagreb – istok city district of Zagreb, the capital of Croatia. Located on Sajmišna Road east of Sarajevska Road and Utrine, Zagreb, Utrine, Travno and Dugave apartment block complexes, the neighborhood is mostly uninhabited, with an area of 455.21 hectare, ha and a total population of around 2,000. It is the site of the city's largest landfill, the city's biggest used car market (referred to as "Hrelić" which is actually a separate settlement further south) and the Zlatni Konj art gallery. Dugave
Dugave is an urban settlement of the Croatian capital of Zagreb, within Novi Zagreb – istok District. Its neighbors are Travno, Sloboština and Hrelić, making Dugave the center of its district. The quarter itself has over 10,000 residents and two primary schools. It is the southernmost neighborhood in Novi Zagreb. The neighborhood is known for having a luxurious part known as the "Beverly Hills of Dugave".
