Nouvelle Star (season 11)
The eleventh season of '' Nouvelle Star'' began on November 27, 2014, and finished on March 12, 2015. Cyril Hanouna was renewed as host for a second season. Two of the judges from season 10 stayed for season 11, namely André Manoukian and Sinclair, whereas judges Olivier Bas and Maurane were replaced by Élodie Frégé and Yarol Poupaud. Previous season 9 and 10 host Cyril Hanouna quit the show, and was replaced by Benjamin Castaldi Benjamin Castaldi (; born 28 March 1970) is a French television host, columnist, radio host and producer. André Manoukian
André Antranik Manoukian (born 9 April 1957 in Lyon) is a French songwriter, arranger, jazz musician, and actor of Armenian descent. Between 2002-2017, he served as one of four judges in the French version of Pop Idol, ''Nouvelle Star''. Early years and education Born in Lyon, France, Manoukian is of Armenian descent. He began playing the piano when he was seven years old. Later, when he was a student, he sold organs in a shop to earn money. At 20, he studied music at the Berklee College of Music in Boston. After the basics he studied musical composition, arrangement and harmony. Music career Upon returning to France Manoukian started a jazz band called ''Horn Stuff''. At the same time he composed for female singers and two jazz-funk albums were recorded. He was also approached to join the band of the singer Michèle Torr. Sinclair (singer)
Mathieu Blanc-Francard, stage name Sinclair (born 19 July 1970), is a French musician and singer-songwriter. Early life Born in 1970 at Tours as son of Dominique Blanc-Francard and brother of Hubert Blanc-Francard, known professionally as Boom Bass (of Cassius), Mathieu Blanc-Francard grew up in Paris and went to school at the lycée Janson-de-Sailly. He became interested in music as a teenager and missed his baccalauréat. He briefly worked in a recording studio as an assistant sound engineer and learned the guitar. At this time he formed his first band and chose his stage name. ''Nouvelle Star'' (; also known as ''À la Recherche de la Nouvelle Star'' for the first season) is a French television series based on the popular Pop Idol programme produced by FremantleMedia. It was broadcast by M6 in seasons 1–8 before D8 aired seasons 9-12. M6 broadcast the 13th and final season. It was hosted by Benjamin Castaldi for the first three seasons (2003–2005). He also hosted 13 episodes of seasons 4 (2006). Virginie Efira presented the remainder of season 4, as well as presenting seasons 5 and 6. Virginie Guilhaume hosted seasons 7 and 8. Since season 9, Cyril Hanouna is the ''Nouvelle Stars TV host. On 4 July 2012, Bibiane Godfroid, program director of Nouvelle Star announced that the show will not return on M6 but will instead be on D8, after its acquisition by Canal +.
