Northrop High School
Northrop High School is a Fort Wayne Community Schools high school located in the northern suburbs of Fort Wayne, Allen County, Indiana. Northrop is classified as 5A by the IHSAA. Northrop High School has had a sister school, the Goethe Gymnasium, in Fort Wayne's sister city, Gera, Germany, since 1994. Iced Earth
Iced Earth is an American heavy metal band formed in Tampa, Florida and currently based in Columbus, Indiana. They were formed in 1984 under the name the Rose, then Purgatory, by guitarist and main songwriter Jon Schaffer and original drummer Greg Seymour. Iced Earth released their debut album in 1990 and have since released twelve studio albums, four EPs, three compilations, three box sets, three live albums and eleven music videos. Small Forward
The small forward (SF), also known as the three or swingman, is one of the five positions in a regulation basketball game. Small forwards are typically shorter, quicker, and leaner than power forwards and centers but taller, larger, and stronger than either of the guard positions. Walter Jordan
Walter Lee Jordan (born February 19, 1956) is an American former professional basketball player. A 6'7" small forward born in Perry, Alabama and from Purdue University, Jordan played one season ( 1980–81) with the Cleveland Cavaliers of the NBA. He scored 68 points and grabbed 42 rebounds in 30 games. High school years Jordan led Northrop High School, in (Fort Wayne, Indiana), to the single-class 1974 Indiana state basketball championship, coached by Robert Dille. He was named to "Top 50″ All-time Northeast Indiana's Athletes of the Century and was inducted into Afro-American Hall of Fame, Ft. Wayne. Trine University is a private university in Angola, Indiana. It was founded in 1884 and offers degrees in the arts and sciences, business, education, and engineering. Trine University is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission. History Trine was founded in 1884 as Tri-State Normal College and retained the reference to the "tri-state" area for more than 120 years because of its location in Indiana and proximity to Michigan and Ohio. Matt Land
Matt Land (born February 10, 1972) is the athletic director and former head football coach for Trine University. 2006 was his first season as the program's head coach. The team finished 2–8. In 2007, they finished with a record of 6–4. In 2008 he was awarded the NCAA Division III Co-Region Four Coach of the Year award after leading Trine to a 10–0 regular season. In April 2012, Land was named the athletic director at Trine. Land was also the head coach for the United Indoor Football league's Fort Wayne Freedom in 2005, and Fort Wayne's South Side High School from 2002 to 2005, each year he built up the team a little bit more until his last year in 2005 when he coached the team to its winningest season ever, including a sectional championship victory over Bishop Dwenger High School, a Class 4A regional victory over Delta High School. Joshua Lamar "Josh" Gaines (born September 27, 1985) is a former gridiron football defensive end. He was signed by the Philadelphia Eagles as an undrafted free agent in 2009. He played college football at Penn State. Gaines has also been a member of the Hamilton Tiger-Cats. College career Gaines played college football at Penn State. After redshirting his freshman year in 2004, he made appearances in every game in 2005, backing up future Kansas City Chief Tamba Hali.
