Northern Story
''Northern Story'' (russian: Северная повесть) is a 1960 Soviet drama film directed by Yevgeni Andrikanis. Plot The film takes place on the eve of the Decembrist revolt in 1825. The film tells about officer Pavel Bestuzhev, who is sent into exile in the garrison in the North. There he meets the wounded Decembrist, who is trying to leave Russia. Pavel decides to help him. Konstantin Paustovsky
Konstantin Georgiyevich Paustovsky ( rus, Константи́н Гео́ргиевич Паусто́вский, p=pəʊˈstofskʲɪj; – 14 July 1968) was a Soviet writer nominated for the Nobel Prize for literature in 1965. Early life Konstantin Paustovsky was born in Moscow. His father was a railroad statistician, and was “an incurable romantic and Protestant”. His mother came from the family of a Polish intellectual. Paustovsky's family were of Zaporozhian Cossack, Turkish and Polish origin. Konstantin grew up in Ukraine, partly in the countryside and partly in Kyiv. He studied in “the First Imperial” classical Gymnasium of Kyiv, where he was the classmate of Mikhail Bulgakov. When he was in the 6th grade his father left the family and he was forced to give private lessons in order to earn a living. In 1912 he entered the faculty of Natural History in University of Kyiv. Oleg Strizhenov
Oleg Aleksandrovich Strizhenov (russian: Олег Александрович Стриженов; born 10 August 1929 in Blagoveshchensk) is a Soviet and Russian stage and film actor. People's Artist of the USSR (1988). Life and career Strizhenov completed the B. V. Shchukin Higher Theater School in 1953 and from 1953 he was actor in the Russian Theater of Drama in Tallinn (in Estonia); from 1954 to 1955, he acted at the Pushkin Theater in Leningrad, and in 1957 he was at the Screen Actors Theater and Studio in Moscow. From 1966 to 1976 he acted at the Moscow Artists' and Actors' Theater. Oleg's older brother, Gleb, was also an actor who was an Honored Artist of the RSFSR. Oleg is the father of the Russian actor, writer, producer, and director Aleksandr Strizhenov (husband of actress Yekaterina Strizhenova). Valentin Ivanovich Zubkov (russian: Валенти́н Ива́нович Зубко́в; 12 May 1923 – 18 January 1979) was a Soviet film actor. He was born in Peschanoye Settlement of Ryazan Province. He finished Armavir Military Aviation School (1941–1943) and served as a pilot at frontlines of the German-Soviet War. In the late 1940s Valentin Zubkov studied in Konstantin Voynov’s studio and later played the leads in his films ''Three Came Out of the Woods'' and ''The Sun Shines for All'' (1959), as well as episodic roles in ''Time of Summer Vacations'' (Vremya letnikh otpuskov) (1960) and ''Dream of an Uncle'' (1966). Nikolai Svobodin (20 May 1898 - 20 September 1965) was a Soviet actor of the Socialist realism genre. He was born in village Uzmore, Novouzensk uyezd, Samara Governorate, Russian Empire (modern-day Engelssky District, Saratov Oblast, Russia) as Nikolay Kapitonovich Pechkin. Svobodin was a recipient of the Order of the Red Banner of Labour, the Medal "For Valiant Labour in the Great Patriotic War 1941–1945" and the Medal "In Commemoration of the 800th Anniversary of Moscow".
