Northern Division (AFL)
The Northern Division of the Arena Football League was formed for the 1992 season and was disbanded after the end of the season. It consisted of the Albany Firebirds, Cincinnati Rockers, Cleveland Thunderbolts, and Detroit Drive. The Drive won the division in its only year of existence. Albany Firebirds
The Indiana Firebirds were a team in the Arena Football League. The team was based in Indianapolis, Indiana. Home games were played at the Conseco Fieldhouse, also the home of the Indiana Pacers of the National Basketball Association and Indiana Fever of the Women's National Basketball Association. Cincinnati Rockers
The Cincinnati Rockers were an arena football team based in Cincinnati, Ohio. They began play in 1992 as an expansion team in the Arena Football League and competed through the 1993 Arena Football League season, 1993 season before they suspended operations due to low attendance. The Rockers played their home games at the U.S. Bank Arena, Riverfront Coliseum. Cleveland Thunderbolts
The Cleveland Thunderbolts were an Arena football team based in Richfield, Ohio. The Thunderbolts were founded in 1991 and were a member of the Arena Football League (AFL). In 1994, the franchise relocated to Columbus The team played for four seasons total, making the playoffs once. They played their home games in the Richfield Coliseum. The team was moved to Cleveland by John J. Kuczek.
