Northeastern Buckeye Conference
The Northeastern Buckeye Conference (NBC), was an OHSAA high school athletic conference that comprised eight high schools in Northeast Ohio. Final members Former members League history *The NBC was established in September 1988 and began league play in the fall of 1989. The six founding members were Carrollton, Dover, Marlington, Minerva, Northwest, and West Branch. Dover High School (Dover, Ohio)
Dover High School is a public high school in Dover, Ohio, United States, and is the only secondary school in the Dover City School District. Athletic teams compete as the Dover Crimson Tornadoes in the Ohio High School Athletic Association as a member of the Ohio Valley Athletic Conference. History Dover's first school house was constructed in 1827 in a forested area on the south side of 4th Street, near the cemetery. There was a separate segregated school on W. Front Street until 1917, at which time Dover's school system became fully integrated. The DHS Alma Mater was composed by L. H. Alexander. WKBN-TV (channel 27) is a television station in Youngstown, Ohio, United States, affiliated with CBS. Portage Trail Conference
The Portage Trail Conference or PTC is an association of six high schools and their associated middle/ junior high schools located in the northeast region of the U.S. State of Ohio. Three member schools are in Portage County, two are in Stark County, and one each is located in Summit and Trumbull counties. The conference officially began play in August 2005 with 16 member schools divided into two eight-school divisions based on enrollment, with the smaller schools in the County Division and the larger schools in the Metro Division. Games against teams in the opposite division did not count as conference games. Between 2013 and 2017, the conference experienced a number of membership changes, with four schools leaving and three schools joining. Springfield High School is a public high school in Lakemore, Ohio, United States, just east of Akron. It is the only high school in the Springfield Local School District and serves students living in Lakemore and Springfield Township. Construction The current high school was built to replace the district's old high school. The building was constructed by Cavanaugh Building in 2013. The new high school cost $42 million to build, and was supposed to be opened in the fall of 2013, but due to structural issues on the second floor the opening was delayed.
