North Carolina Highway 30
North Carolina Highway 30 (NC 30) is a primary state highway in the U.S. state of North Carolina. NC 30 runs from US 13 and NC 11 near Bethel to NC 33 near Pactolus. While signed east-west, the highway physically travels along a southeast-northwest alignment. NC 30 is primarily a two-lane rural highway which serves communities northeast of Greenville entirely in Pitt County. There have been three designations of NC 30 since the inception of the North Carolina State Highway system. The first NC 30 was an original state highway. At its greatest extent, it ran from the South Carolina state line west of Seaside to the Virginia state line near Corapeake, North Carolina. Bethel is a town in Pitt County, North Carolina, United States. The population was 1,577 at the 2010 Census. The town is a part of the Greenville Metropolitan Area located in North Carolina's Inner Banks region. Confusingly, there are three other towns in the state named "Bethel." Windsor is a town in Bertie County, North Carolina, United States. The population was 3,630 at the 2010 census, up from 2,283 in 2000. Supply is a small unincorporated community in Brunswick County, North Carolina, United States, located around the intersection of US 17 (Ocean Highway) and NC 211 (Southport-Supply Road/Green Swamp Road). Its name is derived from the use of the Lockwoods Folly River as a trade route in the 18th and 19th centuries. Residents of the nearby beach communities of Holden Beach, Oak Island, Ocean Isle, Caswell Beach, and Sunset Beach often formerly commuted to Supply for goods and other materials.
