Red Line Extension (METRORail)
In the spring of 2012, Chicago Transit Authority started a station and track rehabilitation program dubbed "Red Ahead", beginning on the North Side Main Line, which is called the "Red North" project. The program monitors the full route of the Red Line (CTA), Red Line, which does not include the stations of Loyola station, Loyola, Bryn Mawr station (CTA), Bryn Mawr, Sheridan station (CTA), Sheridan, or Wilson station (CTA), Wilson. Stations between Wilson through Fullerton station (CTA), Fullerton, and the State Street subway, are also not included. In May 2012, the CTA started to work on the North Side Main Line (CTA), North Side Main Line stations which includes Jarvis station, Jarvis, Morse station, Morse, Granville station (CTA), Granville, Thorndale station (CTA), Thorndale, Berwyn station (CTA), Berwyn, Argyle station (CTA), Argyle, and Lawrence station (CTA), Lawrence. Rapid transit or mass rapid transit (MRT), also known as heavy rail or metro, is a type of high-capacity public transport generally found in urban areas.
