North-East Movement
The North-East Movement ( it, Movimento Nordest) was a federalist political party active in Veneto, Italy. History The party was founded in 1997 and officially launched in January 1998 by the mayor of Venice, Massimo Cacciari, and the former president of the industrialists of Veneto, Mario Carraro. It was also known as the "Catalan party". Mario Rigo, leader of the ''Lega delle Regioni'' (which brought together Lega Autonomia Veneta, Lega Autonomia Friuli and Lega Autonomia Trentino) had also joined the new movement. However, both Rigo and his direct collaborators adhering to the Lega delle Regioni were not immediately informed of the stipulation of the Constitution Act of the movement (drawn up at the end of 1997); indeed, the document was made known to Rigo, confidentially, only after several months. Massimo Cacciari
Massimo Cacciari (; born 5 June 1944) is an Italian philosopher, politician and public intellectual. Biography Born in Venice, Cacciari graduated in philosophy from the University of Padua (1967), where he also received his doctorate, writing a thesis on Immanuel Kant's ''Critique of Judgment''. In 1985, he became professor of Aesthetics at the Architecture Institute of Venice. In 2002, he founded the Department of Philosophy at the University of Vita-Salute San Raffaele in Milan, where he was appointed Dean of the Department in 2005. Cacciari has founded several philosophical reviews and published essays centered on the "negative thought" inspired by authors like Friedrich Nietzsche, Martin Heidegger and Ludwig Wittgenstein. The Friuli Autonomy League ( it, Lega Autonomia Friuli, LAF) was a political party active in Friuli-Venezia Giulia, Italy. Noale
Noale is a town in the Metropolitan City of Venice, Veneto, Italy. It is part of the Miranese district, together with the neighboring municipalities of Mirano, Santa Maria di Sala, Salzano, Scorzè, Spinea and Martellago. The United Consumers (''Consumatori Uniti'') was a political party in Italy led by Bruno De Vita. In the 2006 general election the party was affiliated to The Union, the centre-left coalition led by Romano Prodi. Sardinian Action Party
The Sardinian Action Party ( sc, Partidu Sardu, it, Partito Sardo d'Azione, PSd'Az or PSdA) is a Sardinian nationalist, regionalist and separatist political party in Sardinia. The 1999 European Parliament election in Italy was the election of the delegation from Italy to the European Parliament in 1999. Electoral system The pure party-list proportional representation was the traditional electoral system of the Italian Republic since its foundation in 1946, so it had been adopted to elect the Italian representatives to the European Parliament too. Two levels were used: a national level to divide seats between parties, and a constituency level to distribute them between candidates.
