The Norpatagonico Open, or Abierto Norpatagónico, is one of the major professional golf tournaments in Argentina. Bahía Blanca
Bahía Blanca (; English: White Bay) is a city in the southwest of the province of Buenos Aires, Argentina, by the Atlantic Ocean, and is the seat of government of the Bahía Blanca Partido. It had 301,572 inhabitants according to the . It is the principal city in the Greater Bahía Blanca urban agglomeration. Pedro Rodolfo Martínez (born 18 October 1963) is a Paraguayan professional golfer. Martinez was born in Asunción and turned pro in 1985. José Cantero
José María Cantero (born 8 June 1959) is an Argentine professional golfer who played on the Challenge Tour, the European Tour and the Tour de las Americas. Cantero turned professional in 1985. He played on the European Challenge Tour in 1990–1994 and he won three tournaments, all three of them taking place in Sweden, on this tour. In 1990, he finished 8th in the Challenge Tour Rankings. In 1991, he placed 14th at the Lancia Martini Italian Open on the European Tour. In 1994, he played three tournaments on United States second tier Nike Tour, later named the Korn Ferry Tour. His best finish was tied 12th at the 1994 NIKE Central Georgia Open. Since the late 1990s, Cantero only played a few tournaments a year and only in South America. Julio Zapata
Julio César Zapata (born 22 July 1976) is an Argentine professional golfer. Early life and career Zapata was born in Rafaela, Santa Fe Province, and turned professional in 1997. In 2005, Zapata was second in the Argentina Tour rankings, winning the Norpatagonico Open and finishing second in five other tournaments, including the Argentine Masters and the Coast Open. The following year, he won the Players Championship on the Tour de las Américas, and was third on that tour's Order of Merit. In 2008 he won the South Open, the last tournament of the 2008 TPG Tour. Following a successful season on the Challenge Tour in 2007 with eight top ten finishes, highlighted by a second-place finish in Challenge of Ireland, he graduated to the European Tour in 2008. Sebastián Fernández (born 8 September 1973) is an Argentine professional golfer. Fernández was born in Buenos Aires. He worked as a caddie in Buenos Aires, before turning professional in 1991. He won the Argentine Tour Order of Merit in 2000. He won three Argentine PGA Championships, in 1991, 2001 and 2005, the first as an 18-year-old, and also came second in 2003. Mauricio Molina (born 20 December 1966) is an Argentine professional golfer. Career Molina was born in Rio Cuarto, Cordoba. He worked as a caddie in Buenos Aires, before turning professional in 1985. He is the nephew of the Argentine golfer, Florentino Molina. Molina won several tournaments in Argentina and South America, including the Mendoza Open in 1999 and the Metropolitan Championship in 2009. In 1997 he shot 59 in the first round of the Nautico Hacoaj Grand Prix to set the record for the best round in Argentina. Emiliano Grillo (; born 14 September 1992) is an Argentine professional golfer who plays on the PGA Tour. He won the 2015 Frys.com Open on the PGA Tour. Clodomiro Carranza (born 26 April 1982) is an Argentinian professional golfer who currently plays on the PGA Tour Latinoamérica, having previously played on the European Tour, Web.com Tour and Tour de las Américas. Professional career Carranza turned professional in 2002 and played much of his early career on the Argentine national professional golf tour. His first professional win came at the 2005 Acantilados Grand Prix on the PGA of Argentina Tour. In 2005 Carranza became a member of the Tour de las Américas and achieved his first win on the tour at the 2008 Carlos Franco Invitational.
