Norman Maurer
Norman Albert Maurer (May 13, 1926 – November 23, 1986) was a comic book artist and writer, and a director and producer of films and television shows. Comic books Maurer's lifelong association with the Three Stooges began about the time of his marriage to Joan Howard, the daughter of the comedy team's Moe Howard on June 29, 1947. In 1949, he produced two ''Three Stooges'' comic book issues for Jubilee, based on the short films the team was making for Columbia Pictures. In 1953, Maurer created the first 3-D comics, ''Three-Dimension Comics'' featuring ''Mighty Mouse'', with his brother, Leonard Maurer, and Joe Kubert. Two three-dimensional Stooge comics were also issued in 1953. He returned to the Stooges in comic form in 1972 with Gold Key Comics' ''The Little Stooges'', which ran for seven issues over the next two years. ''The Three Stooges In Orbit'' is a 1962 American comedy science fiction film directed by Edward Bernds. It is the fourth feature film to star the Three Stooges after their 1959 resurgence in popularity. By this time, the trio consisted of Moe Howard, Larry Fine, and Joe DeRita (dubbed "Curly Joe"). ''Richie Rich'' is a Saturday morning animated series produced by Hanna-Barbera Productions and broadcast on ABC from November 8, 1980, to September 1, 1984, based upon the Harvey Comics character of the same name. The series shared time slots with '' Scooby-Doo and Scrappy-Doo'', ''The Little Rascals'', ''Pac-Man'' and '' Monchhichis'' over its original four-year broadcast run. 13 half-hours were produced, split into segments of 12, 7 and 4 minutes. ''The Scooby-Doo/Dynomutt Hour'' is a 60-minute package show produced by Hanna-Barbera, Hanna-Barbera Productions in 1976 for American Broadcasting Company, ABC Saturday mornings. It marked the first new installments of the cowardly canine since 1973, and contained two segments: ''The Scooby-Doo Show'' and ''Dynomutt, Dog Wonder''. Production ''The Scooby-Doo/Dynomutt Hour'' debuted on September 11, 1976. After two months, an additional 30 minutes were added to the hour-long series (to accommodate repeats of the first two CBS seasons of ''Scooby-Doo, Where Are You!''), becoming the 90-minute ''Scooby-Doo/Dynomutt Show,'' which is how it remained from December 4, 1976 to September 3, 1977. Cambria Productions was the West Hollywood, California animation production studio most famous for its wide usage of the Syncro-Vox technique of animation developed by Edwin Gillette, who was a co-partner in the studio. Owned by Clark S. Haas, Jr. from 1957 until 1965, the studio produced ''Clutch Cargo'' (1959-1960), ''Space Angel'' (1962), '' Captain Fathom'' (1965), and ''The New 3 Stooges'' (1965-1966). A test film for another series, '' Doc Potts'' or ''Doc Potts and Weselly'', was prepared in 1960, though the series was apparently never produced. Two sample episodes of a proposed Moon Mullins series were produced along with a sales film to promote it to local television stations, but it didn't clear enough markets to go into production. Super 8 Mm Film
Super 8 mm film is a motion-picture film format released in 1965 by Eastman Kodak as an improvement over the older "Double" or "Regular" 8 mm home movie format. The film is nominally 8 mm wide, the same as older formatted 8 mm film, but the dimensions of the rectangular perforations along one edge are smaller, which allows for a greater exposed area. The Super 8 standard also allocates the border opposite the perforations for an oxide stripe upon which sound can be magnetically recorded. Unlike Super 35 (which is generally compatible with standard 35 mm equipment), the film stock used for Super 8 is not compatible with standard 8 mm film cameras. Louis Feinberg (October 5, 1902 – January 24, 1975), known professionally as Larry Fine, was an American actor, comedian, and musician. He is best known as a member of the comedy act the Three Stooges. Early life Fine was born to a Russian Jewish family at 3rd and South Street (Philadelphia), South Street in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on October 5, 1902. His father, Joseph Feinberg, and mother, Fanny Lieberman, owned a watch repair and jewelry shop.
