Norman Gonzales
Norman P. Gonzales (born May 21, 1976) is a Filipino former professional basketball player. He was drafted seventh overall by Mobiline in the 2001 PBA Draft. Professional career Gonzales is among the league’s toughest sixth man since he entered the league in 2001. He was known for producing big points, sometimes double-double during his amateur days and while he was playing in the defunct MBA, a regional-based professional league in the Philippines when he played in the two MBA teams, the Pampanga Dragons (he was part of the championship team) and the Cagayan de Oro Amigos. Known also as a good defensive stopper inside and outside, Gonzales spent his first two years with Talk 'N Text. In 2003, he was suspended for failing a random drug test, and along with 5 other players filed a lawsuit with the league attempting to regain playing status. Small Forward
The small forward (SF), also known as the three or swingman, is one of the five positions in a regulation basketball game. Small forwards are typically shorter, quicker, and leaner than power forwards and centers but taller, larger, and stronger than either of the guard positions. 2014 PBA Expansion Draft
The 2014 PBA Expansion Draft is the third expansion draft of the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA). The draft was held on July 18, 2014, so that the newly founded teams Blackwater Elite and the Kia Sorento could acquire players for the 2014–15 season. A "protect 12" scheme was implemented for the draft, meaning that the 10 existing PBA teams could protect up to 12 players in their rosters and unconditionally release their unprotected players to the expansion pool. This was the first expansion draft held by the PBA since 2000, when Batang Red Bull Energizers entered the league as an expansion team. The draft was closed to the public as the final list was distributed only to the expansion clubs. Blackwater Sports
The Blackwater Sports was a basketball team that played in the PBA Developmental League (PBA D-League) from 2011 to 2014. It was one of the founding teams of the PBA D-League and was owned by Ever Bilena Cosmetics, Inc. The team was originally named Blackwater Elite during the 2011 season. The franchise moved to the Philippine Basketball Association in 2014 as an expansion team and will play under the name Blackwater Elite. The franchise's predecessor was the Blu Detergent team in the Philippine Basketball League (PBL), best-known as the first Philippine basketball team of Asi Taulava. 2013 ABL Season
The 2013 ASEAN Basketball League Regular Season was the fourth season of competition of the ASEAN Basketball League (ABL) since its establishment. A total of six teams competed in the league. The regular season began on 11 January 2013 and ended on 19 May 2013. Two teams from the previous season, inaugural champions AirAsia Philippine Patriots and Bangkok Cobras did not return for the current season. Preseason The ABL underwent contraction after it was announced that the Bangkok Cobras and the AirAsia Philippine Patriots would not be returning for the current season. The Brunei Barracudas, who were on leave for the 2012 season, were not announced to the list of active teams for 2013. A new format was announced for the regular season, where the teams will play each four times, twice at home and twice away, a deviation from the earlier seasons where teams played each other thrice. Douglas Rimorin Kramer (born July 10, 1983) is a Filipino former basketball player. He played for eight teams in the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA). College career Kramer set a career-high 19 rebounds along with 3 blocks and 16 points in Ateneo's 98–88 win over University of the Philippines on August 20, 2006. He also made the famous Game 1 winning shot of the Ateneo vs. UST championship on Sept. 22, 2006. His team won game 1 and ended up losing Games 2 and 3 to eventual champions, UST. The Rain or Shine Elasto Painters are a professional basketball team in the Philippine Basketball Association owned by Asian Coatings Philippines, Inc. It debuted in the league in the 2006–07 PBA season after acquiring the franchise rights of the Shell Turbo Chargers in 2006, which disbanded after the 2004–05 PBA season.
