The Nordland Fotballkrets ''(Nordland Football Association)'' is one of the 18 district organisations of the Norwegian Football Federation. It administers lower tier football in the traditional district of Helgeland and Salten. Bodø
Bodø (; smj, Bådåddjo, sv, Bodö) is a municipality in Nordland county, Norway. It is part of the traditional region of Salten. The administrative centre of the municipality is the town of Bodø (which is also the capital of Nordland county). Some of the notable villages in Bodø include Misvær, Skjerstad, Saltstraumen, Løding, Løpsmarka, Kjerringøy, Sørvær, and Fenes. Idrettslaget Stålkameratene, Stål for short, is a Norwegian sports club from Mo i Rana, Nordland. It has sections for judo, biathlon, Nordic skiing and football. History The club was founded on 11 January 1935 as ''Mo AIL'', a club with membership in the Workers Confederation of Sports. After the Second World War the Workers Confederation of Sports was dissolved, and the club changed its name to ''IL Stålkameratene''. The name Stålkameratene means "Steel Comrades". The city as a whole got a boost in the 1940s and 1950s when the Norsk Jernverk (Norwegian Iron Works) was established in Mo i Rana, with the club profiting accordingly. Rana Fotballklubb is a Norwegian association football club located in Mo i Rana, Nordland. The club was founded 4 December 2017 as a merger of Mo IL and the football section of IL Stålkameratene. The team currently plays in 3. divisjon, the fourth tier of the Norwegian football league system. Mosjøen Idrettslag is a Norwegian sports club from Mosjøen, Vefsn, Nordland. It has sections for association football, gymnastics and skiing. Mosjøen Turnforening (gymnastics) was founded in 1892, and this is also regarded as the foundation year of the current club. Mosjøen Fotballklubb (football) was founded separately in 1909. Mo Idrettslag is a football club from Mo i Rana, Norway. History Mo IL was founded in 1904, as the first football club in Nord-Norge. In the first couple of years, Mo only played against teams with Englishmen working in the area, but on 7 June 1907 ''Ranen Kompani'' was beaten 2-1 in the first match between two teams from Nord-Norge. One of the most memorable moments from the 2004-season was the 0-2. loss against Tromsø IL, fielding players such as Morten Gamst Pedersen in their starting eleven, in the third round of the 2004 Norwegian Football Cup. On their way to the third round, they beat the second tier team Strømsgodset IF 2-0. Mo IL narrowly missed out on promotion to 1. divisjon in the 2005 season. Idrettsklubben Grand Bodø is a Norwegian association football club from Bodø, Nordland. It was founded on 12 April 1917. Football Former Liverpool and England international full-back Chris Lawler was player-coach for the club in 1981. Fotballklubben Bodø/Glimt () is a Norwegian professional football club from the town of Bodø that currently plays in Eliteserien, the Norwegian top division. The club was founded in 1916 and is frequently referred to by its original club name, "''Glimt''". Bodø/Glimt are the reigning champions in Norway after winning 2021 Eliteserien.
