Nordic Combined At The 2018 Winter Olympics
Nordic combined at the 2018 Winter Olympics was held at the Alpensia Ski Jumping Centre and Alpensia Cross-Country Skiing Centre. The three events were scheduled to take place between 14 and 22 February 2018. Qualification A total of 55 quota spots were available to athletes to compete at the games. A maximum of five athletes could be entered by any one National Olympic Committee. Competitors were eligible to compete if they had scored points at a World or Continental cup event during the qualification period of July 2016 to 21 January 2018. The top 55 on the Olympic quota allocation list respecting the maximum of four per country qualified to compete. Competition schedule The following was the competition schedule for all three events. Alpensia Ski Jumping Centre
Alpensia Ski Jumping Centre (알펜시아 스키점프 경기장) is a ski jumping hills located at Alpensia Resort in Pyeongchang, South Korea. They hosted the ski jumping and the nordic combined events during the 2018 Winter Olympics. They also operate as an association football venue by using their landing area as the pitch. Eric Frenzel (born 21 November 1988) is a German nordic combined skier who has been competing since 2000. Career One of the most successful nordic combined athletes of all time. Jan Andreas Schmid (born 24 November 1983) is a Norwegian former nordic combined skier, of Swiss origin. He won two medals at the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships 2009 in Liberec with a silver in the 10 km individual normal hill event and a bronze in the 4 x 5 km team event.
