Norbert Owona
Norbert Owona (1951 – 3 February 2021) was a Cameroonian footballer who played as a midfielder for the Cameroon national team. Career Owona scored against Nigeria during the 1970 FIFA World Cup qualification campaign. Owona was part of the team that finished in third place at the 1972 Africa Cup of Nations The 1972 African Cup of Nations was the eighth edition of the Africa Cup of Nations, the association football championship of Africa ( CAF). In August 2018, Owona featured in a television documentary showing that he was homeless and suffering from an inguinal hernia. Following the documentary, it was reported that Samuel Eto'o had arranged for Owona to have somewhere to live. Inguinal Hernia
An inguinal hernia is a hernia (protrusion) of abdominal-cavity contents through the inguinal canal. Symptoms, which may include pain or discomfort especially with or following coughing, exercise, or bowel movements, are absent in about a third of patients. Symptoms often get worse throughout the day and improve when lying down. A bulging area may occur that becomes larger when bearing down. Inguinal hernias occur more often on the right than left side. The main concern is strangulation, where the blood supply to part of the intestine is blocked. This usually produces severe pain and tenderness of the area. Samuel Eto'o
Samuel Eto'o Fils (; born 10 March 1981) is a Cameroonian football administrator and former player who is the current president of the Cameroonian Football Federation from 11 December 2021. In his prime, Eto'o was regarded by pundits as one of the best strikers in the world, and he is regarded as one of the greatest African players of all time, winning the African Player of the Year a record four times: in 2003, 2004, 2005, and 2010. A precocious talent, Eto'o moved to Real Madrid as a 16 year old. Due to competition in his position with more experienced players, he had several loan spells, before signing for Mallorca in 2000 where he scored 70 goals. Zaire National Football Team
The DR Congo national football team, recognised by FIFA as Congo DR (formerly known as Zaire, alternatively known as Congo-Kinshasa), represents the Democratic Republic of the Congo in men's international football and it is controlled by the Congolese Association Football Federation. The Confederation of African Football (CAF) section of the 1970 FIFA World Cup qualification saw teams competing for one berth in the final tournament in Mexico. Thirteen nations in total entered the qualifying stage but FIFA rejected the entries of Guinea and Zaire, leaving 11 nations to contest the qualifying spot.
