Noor Ali Zadran
Noor Ali Zadran (Pashto: نور علی ځدراڼ; born 10 July 1988) is an Afghan cricketer. Ali is a right-handed batsman and a right-arm medium-fast bowler who plays for the Afghanistan national cricket team. He cites Ricky Ponting as his cricketing hero and inspiration to play. His nephews Mujeeb Ur Rahman Zadran and Ibrahim Zadran also are Afghan international cricketers. Career Ali made his representative international debut for the Afghanistan U-17 cricket team against the United Arab Emirates Under-17s in 2004. Ali's debut for the senior team came against Saudi Arabia in the 2006 Middle East Cup. Ali made his Twenty20 debut for Afghanistan in the 2007 ACC Twenty20 Cup against Oman. Khost
Khōst ( ps, خوست) is the capital of Khost Province in Afghanistan. It is the largest city in the southeastern part of the country, and also the largest in the region of Loya Paktia. The 2009–10 ICC Intercontinental Cup was the fifth edition of the ICC Intercontinental Cup tournament, an international first-class cricket competition between nations who had not been awarded Test status by the International Cricket Council. The 2009 ICC World Cricket League Division Three was a cricket tournament that took place in Buenos Aires, Argentina, from 24 to 31 January 2009. It formed part of the ICC World Cricket League and qualifying for the 2011 Cricket World Cup. The tournament was won by Afghanistan, with Uganda coming in second. Those teams qualified for the 2011 World Cup qualification tournament. Both won four matches and lost one, as did Papua New Guinea; the rankings tie was broken by net run rate. World Cricket League
The ICC World Cricket League (WCL) was a series of international one-day cricket tournaments for national teams without Test status (i.e., teams of Associate status) administered by the International Cricket Council. All Associate Members of the ICC were eligible to compete in the league system, which featured a promotion and relegation structure between divisions. The league system had two main aims: to provide a qualification system for the Cricket World Cup that could be accessed by all Associate Members and as an opportunity for these sides to play international one-day matches against teams of similar standards.
