Nong Prue is town municipality (''thesaban mueang'') in the Bang Lamung District of Chon Buri Province, a dormitory suburb of Pattaya Pattaya ( th, พัทยา, , ) is a city in Thailand. Thesaban Mueang
Thesaban ( th, เทศบาล, , ) are the municipalities of Thailand. There are three levels of municipalities: city, town, and sub-district. Bangkok and Pattaya are special municipal entities not included in the ''thesaban'' system. The municipalities assume some of the responsibilities which are assigned to the districts (''amphoe'') or communes (''tambon'') for non-municipal (rural) areas. Historically, this devolution of central government powers grew out of the Sukhaphiban () sanitary districts first created in Bangkok by a royal decree of King Chulalongkorn in 1897. Bang Lamung District
Bang Lamung ( th, บางละมุง, ) is a district (''amphoe'') in the southern part of Chonburi province, Thailand. History ''Mueang'' Bang Lamung was formerly in Ban Bang Lamung, Tambon Bang Lamung. However, the government downgraded Bang Lamung to a district, with the district office on the banks of Khlong Nok Yang. In 1909, the district head, ''Phraya'' Sattaya Nukun (Choem), moved the district office to the seacoast in Tambon Na Kluea. On 21 October 1952 the district office was completely destroyed by a storm. The office set up temporarily in Bang Lamung School, Sukhumvit Road. The following year the Thai government approved building a new district office near the school. It is still in use today. Chon Buri Province
Chonburi (, , ) is a province of Thailand (''changwat'') located in eastern Thailand. Its capital is also named Chonburi. Neighbouring provinces are (clockwise from north) Chachoengsao, Chanthaburi, and Rayong, while the Bay of Bangkok is to the west. Pattaya, a major tourism destination in Thailand, is located in Chonburi, along with Laem Chabang, the country's primary seaport. A gated community (or walled community) is a form of residential community or housing estate containing strictly controlled entrances for pedestrians, bicycles, and automobiles, and often characterized by a closed perimeter of walls and fences. Historically, cities have built defensive city walls and controlled gates to protect their inhabitants, and such fortifications have also separated quarters of some cities.
