Nomocharis Gongshanensis
''Nomocharis'' is a genus of flowering plants in the family Liliaceae. It consists of about 7 species native to montane regions of western China, Myanmar, and northern India. They are similar to ''Lilium'', with one of the more obvious differences being the flowers being more shallow or sometimes flat. Taxonomy The World Checklist of Selected Plant Families, , considers ''Nomocharis'' a separate genus in its own right, however some authorities consider ''Nomocharis'' to be embedded within ''Lilium'', rather than treat it as a separate genus. Adrien René Franchet (21 April 1834 in Pezou – 15 February 1900 in Paris) was a French botanist, based at the Paris Muséum national d'Histoire naturelle. He is noted for his extensive work describing the flora of China and Japan, based on the collections made by French Catholic missionaries in China, Armand David, Pierre Jean Marie Delavay, Paul Guillaume Farges, Jean-André Soulié, and others. He was the taxonomic author of many plants, including a significant number of species from the genera ''Primula'' and ''Rhododendron''. Joseph Robert Sealy
Joseph Robert Sealy (1907 – 1 August 2000) was an English botanist. He began his career in botany in 1925, working at Kew Gardens, with Thomas Archibald Sprague in the tropical crops section. Later, in 1927, he worked in a herbarium with Arthur William Hill. He was appointed Assistant Botanist in 1940. His specialty was the Flora of China, especially Camellia. Euan Hillhouse Methven Cox (1893–1977) was a Scottish plant collector, botanist, and horticulturist, who accompanied Reginald Farrer on his last botanical expedition to Burma and its border with China, from 1919 to 1920.
