Nomathemba Mokgethi
Nomathemba Emily Mokgethi is a South African politician who served as the Government of Gauteng, Gauteng Health MEC from 2020 to 2022 and has been a member of the Gauteng Provincial Legislature since 2018. She was the provincial MEC for Social Development between June and December 2020. Mokgethi is a member of the African National Congress. Early life and education Mokgethi was born in the Transvaal Province. She holds a Master of Arts in Nursing Science and a doctorate in literature and philosophy from the University of South Africa. Career Mokgethi worked as an official at the Merafong City Local Municipality in Gauteng. She was the acting municipal manager in the municipality before her appointment as the municipal manager at the Tlokwe Local Municipality in the North West (South African province), North West in 2014.
