Noiseworks are an Australian hard rock band formed in Sydney in 1986 with bass guitarist Steve Balbi, guitarist Stuart Fraser, drummer Kevin Nicol, keyboardist Justin Stanley and lead vocalist Jon Stevens. They had four Australian Top 10 albums, '' Noiseworks'' (1987), '' Touch'' (1988), '' Love Versus Money'' (1991) and '' Greatest Hits'' (1992). They produced three Top 10 singles, " Take Me Back", " Touch" and "Hot Chilli Woman" before disbanding in 1992. Reunion tours occurred in 1999, 2004, 2007–2008, 2011, 2013. The band has reformed in 2016 and in August 2022, released "Heart & Soul"; their first new song in 30 years. Noiseworks' fourth studio album, ''Evolution'' was released in November 2022. Justin Stanley
Justin Stanley is an Australian musician, producer and songwriter. He has worked with an eclectic range of musicians including Beck, Prince, Jimmy Cliff, Leonard Cohen, Paul McCartney and Snoop Dogg. Some of the artists Stanley had produced, include Eric Clapton, Sheryl Crow, Jet, Jamie Lidell, Nikka Costa, Jimmy Fallon, Mark Ronson, Mocky and Ryan Bingham. He lives in California, with his wife, Nikka Costa. Work with Beck Stanley joined Beck's band in 2005 for the ''Guero'' tour, playing guitars and percussion. ''Evolution'' is the fourth studio album by Australian rock band Noiseworks. It was the band's first since 1991's '' Love Versus Money''. Released on 11 November 2022, ''Evolution'' debuted at number 25 on the ARIA Albums Chart. Background and release Noiseworks released their third studio album ''Love Versus Money'' in July 1991. The album became their first ARIA number-one album and the band split up shortly after. In 1999, lead singer Jon Stevens attempted a reunion of the band, but joined INXS instead. "Touch" is a song by Australian rock-pop band Noiseworks. It was released in October 1988 as the first single from their second studio album ''Touch'' (1988) and peaked at number 12 on the ARIA singles chart. ''Greatest Hits'' is the first compilation album by Australian rock band Noiseworks. Released in 1992, it peaked at No. 4 in Australia and was certified platinum in 1993. Love Versus Money (Noiseworks Album)
''Love versus Money'' is the third studio album by Australian rock band Noiseworks. It contained the Top 10 hit " Hot Chilli Woman". It is their most commercially successful album. Amongst the well-known names that contributed to the album were Snap! singer Penny Ford, Vika Bull and Michael Hutchence of INXS. The album also contained a tribute to frontman Jon Stevens's late mother who had died from cancer, the song was titled " R.I.P. (Millie)". This was the final studio album for phase one of Noiseworks as they disbanded shortly afterwards. However, in December 2007, lead singer Jon Stevens announced that Noiseworks, who had reformed earlier that year (minus keyboardist Justin Stanley), were returning to the studio in 2008 to record their first album together in sixteen years. ''Touch'' is the second studio album by Australian rock band Noiseworks. It was released by CBS Records on 14 November 1988. The album debuted at No. 5 on the Australian Recording Industry Association (ARIA) Albums Chart. The album was produced by Chris Kimsey (The Rolling Stones) and Noiseworks. The title track preceded it as the first single, peaking at No. 12 on the ARIA Singles Chart. Subsequent singles " Voice of Reason", " Simple Man" and " In My Youth" failed to make the Top 40 (despite the latter receiving considerable radio airplay).
