Noh Hyeong-ouk
Noh Hyeong-ouk ( Korean: 노형욱, born 1962) is a South Korean activist and government official who has been the Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport since 14 May 2021. He previously served as the Minister for Government Policy Coordination from 2018 to 2020, and the 2nd Deputy Minister from 2016 to 2018. Education and early career Born in Sunchang, North Jeolla, Noh attended Gwangju Jeil High School and studied political diplomacy at Yonsei University. He also obtained 2 master's degrees; one in public administration from Seoul National University while another one in international economics at Sciences Po. Sunchang County, North Jeolla
Sunchang County (''Sunchang-gun'') is a Administrative divisions of South Korea, county in North Jeolla Province, South Korea. It is located in a mountainous region of the province and is connected to the city of Jeonju by a modern double-lane free-way that was completed in 2011. Sunchang's claim to fame is its red pepper paste, or ''gochujang'', which is supposed to be distinct from other recipes. The governor of the county puts his personal seal of approval on it to make it authentic Sunchang Gochujang. 2017 South Korean Presidential Election
Early presidential elections were held in South Korea on 9 May 2017 following the impeachment and removal of Park Geun-hye. The elections were conducted in a single round, on a first-past-the-post basis, and had originally been scheduled for 20 December 2017. However, they were brought forward after the decision of the Constitutional Court on 10 March 2017 to uphold the National Assembly's impeachment of Park. Following procedures set out in the Constitution of South Korea, Prime Minister Hwang Kyo-ahn succeeded Park as the acting president. The Ministry of Economy and Finance (abbreviated to MOEF) oversees the financial policies of the South Korean government. Lee Nak-yon (; born 20 December 1952), also known as Lee Nak-yeon, is a South Korean politician who served as the 41st Prime Minister of South Korea from 2017 to 2020. Kim Hyun-mee (; born 29 November 1962) is a South Korean politician previously served as the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport (South Korea), Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport (MOLIT) under President Moon Jae-in from 2017 to 2020. She is the first woman to lead this ministry since its creation in 1948. She was the first chief of staff to then-party leader of Democratic Party, Moon Jae-in. She is also a three-term parliamentarian of the Democratic Party of Korea, Democratic Party.
