Crook's Tour
''Crook's Tour'' is a 1941 black and white British film directed by John Baxter featuring Charters and Caldicott. It is adapted from a BBC radio serial of the same name. Plot Charters and Caldicott are touring the Middle East (Saudi Arabia) with fellow Britons. After their vehicle breaks down they meet a caravan and a local sheikh invites them to dinner. After a glass of wine the sheikh offers to lend them two camels and tells of his fears that someone is spying on his oilfield. They return to Baghdad where they go to a night club. Here two spies are expected and a Mata Hari type figure (the glamorous La Palermo) delivers a note (hidden on a record) to them in error, because they order exactly what the true spies are meant to order (as a code). ''Bobbikins'' is a 1959 British comedy film directed by Robert Day and starring Shirley Jones and Max Bygraves. It was made in CinemaScope and released by 20th Century Fox. It was produced by the British subsidiary of 20th Century Fox and shot at Elstree Studios. Plot This adventure follows the story of a young navy man, his wife (Shirley Jones) and their baby son, Bobby aka ''Bobbikins.'' To his surprise, Dad discovers his son talks, not baby-talk or gibberish but has adult conversations with his father only. Bobbikins learns stock market tips and passes them to his Dad. ''From a Bird's Eye View'' is a 1970 ATV and ITC Entertainment co-produced sitcom. In the United States it aired on NBC, which had originally ordered the series as an entry in the 1969–70 TV season but pushed it back to the 1970–71 season as a mid-season replacement. Oliver Twist is a 1962 BBC TV adaptation of Charles Dickens' 1838 novel ''Oliver Twist'', serialised in 13 episodes. Due in part to its transmission at Sunday teatimes, the production proved to be controversial, with questions asked in Parliament and many viewer complaints over the brutal murder of Nancy by Bill Sikes in its eleventh episode.
