Lunna (born June 30, 1960; born María Socorro García de la NocedaGarcia de la Noceda is her paternal surname) is a Puerto Rican singer of popular music and jazz who was the director of the television show ''Objetivo Fama'', the Latin version of ''American Idol''. Early years Lunna was born and raised by both her parents in Ponce, Puerto Rico. While in elementary school, she learned how to play the guitar and in 1972, her mother had her take private singing lessons. In the 1960s, while still in high school, she began to sing under the name "Sockey", which was short for her middle name Socorro. In 1978, Lunna auditioned and was accepted in a group called Allegro 72, a locally popular group which included singer Tito Lara and Luis Antonio Cosme. Besides singing for Allegro 72, she also landed jobs singing radio and television commercials. Lunna eventually left the group to start singing solo. Jorge Noceda Sánchez (6 September 1925 – 11 March 1987) was Dominican-born American diplomat, and painter. His surrealist artwork has been collected by international museums. He also worked as a gastroeonerolgist, and a dog breeder. Early life and education Jorge Noceda Sánchez was born on 6 September 1925 in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. Sánchez received a medical degree from the University of Santo Domingo in 1952. After graduation, he moved to New York City to specialize in gastroenterology at New York University while working as a resident in the Bronx. Rubén Noceda (11 May 1931 – 8 April 2007) was a football goalkeeper from Paraguay. Noceda was born in 1931 in Asunción. He started his career in the youth divisions of Presidente Hayes and made his debut in the first team squad in 1946. He played for Presidente Hayes until 1956 and won the only Paraguayan 1st division title in the club's history in 1952. Noceda also played for Peruvian club Atlético Chalaco.
