Noam Dovrat
Noam Shimon Dovrat ( he, נועם שמעון דוברת; born July 16, 2002) is an Israeli basketball player for Hapoel Jerusalem in the Israeli Basketball Premier League. He primarily plays the point guard position. He was named the 2020 Israeli Basketball Premier League Discovery of the Year. Early life Dovrat was born and raised in Rishon LeZion, Israel, to a Jewish family. Career He is 6' 5" (1.96 m) tall, and weighs 187 pounds (85 kg). As a youth Dovrat played basketball with the Maccabi Rishon LeZion juniors in Israel. He has played for Maccabi Rishon LeZion in the Israeli Basketball Premier League since 2018. He was named 2020 Israeli Basketball Premier League Discovery of the Year. Dovrat has played for the Israeli U-16 and U-18 national teams. Point Guard
The point guard (PG), also called the one or the point, is one of the five Basketball positions, positions in a regulation basketball game. A point guard has perhaps the most specialized role of any position. Point guards are expected to run the team's offense by controlling the ball and making sure that it gets to the right player at the right time. Above all, the point guard must understand and accept their coach's game plan; in this way, the position can be compared to a quarterback in American football. The Israel men's national basketball team ( he, נבחרת ישראל בכדורסל) represents Israel in international basketball tournaments. They are administered by the Israeli Basketball Association. Israel is currently ranked 33rd in the FIBA World Rankings. Israel has qualified for the EuroBasket 30 times throughout their history. They have also made two appearances at the World Cup, and one at the Summer Olympics. Israel also participated at the Asian Games from 1966 to 1974.
