No Sweat (band)
No Sweat were an Irish rock band, active during the late 1980s and early 1990s. They are best remembered for their single "Heart and Soul" ( produced by the Def Leppard frontman Joe Elliott), which topped the Irish Singles Chart for two weeks in June 1989. Singles Following "Heart and Soul" reaching number one in 1989, the group had two further Irish hits in 1990 with "Tear Down the Walls" (No. 4) and "On the Edge" (No. 11). 1990 also saw the release of their self-titled debut album, which was produced by Keith Olsen for Pogo Logo Corp., and was recorded at the Goodnight L.A. studio in Van Nuys, California, United States. "Heart and Soul" and "Tear Down the Walls" were released as singles in the United Kingdom, with both enjoying minor success in the UK Singles Chart. Sound recording and reproduction is the electrical, mechanical, electronic, or digital inscription and re-creation of sound waves, such as spoken voice, singing, instrumental music, or sound effects. The two main classes of sound recording technology are analog recording and digital recording. Sound recording is the transcription of invisible vibrations in air onto a storage medium such as a phonograph disc. The process is reversed in sound reproduction, and the variations stored on the medium are transformed back into sound waves. Little Angels were an English hard rock band predominantly active between the mid-1980s and mid-1990s. The band reformed on 8 June 2012 to play the Download Festival. Van Nuys () is a neighborhood in the central San Fernando Valley region of Los Angeles, California. Keith Alan Olsen (May 12, 1945 – March 9, 2020) was an American record producer and sound engineer, who worked with Magnum, Rick Springfield, Fleetwood Mac, Ozzy Osbourne, the Grateful Dead, Whitesnake, Pat Benatar, Heart, Santana, Saga, Foreigner, Scorpions, Journey, The Babys, Emerson, Lake & Palmer, Joe Walsh, 38 Special, and Eric Burdon & the Animals, among others. Olsen produced over 100 complete albums. His production work earned him more than 39 Gold, 24 Platinum, and 14 Multi-Platinum album certifications. The Irish Singles Chart is the Republic of Ireland's music industry standard singles popularity chart issued weekly by the Irish Recorded Music Association (IRMA) and compiled on their behalf by the Official Charts Company. Chart rankings are based on sales, which are compiled through over-the-counter retail data captured electronically each day from retailers' EPOS systems. All major record shops, digital retailers and streaming services contribute to the chart, accounting for over 95% of the market.
