No Fun At All
No Fun at All (often abbreviated to just NFAA) is a Swedish punk rock band. History The band formed in the summer of 1991 in Skinnskatteberg. The group initially consisted of Mikael Danielsson (guitar), Jimmie Olsson (Singing, vocals, Drum kit, drums) and Henrik Sunvisson (bass guitar). The name was inspired by a tongue-in-cheek version of The Stooges' song "No Fun (The Stooges song), No Fun" as covered by the Sex Pistols, and the name of the band Sick of It All. The group released their albums on the Swedish label Burning Heart Records outside the United States. Within the U.S., No Fun at All's albums were released by Theologian Records with the exception of Out Of Bounds which was released by Revelation Records. Epitaph Records released a compilation album known as Master Celebrations in the US in 2002, making it their only release directly on Epitaph despite Burning Heart’s close association with them. Burning Heart Records
Burning Heart Records is an independent record label formed in 1993 in Fagersta, Sweden, and currently based in Örebro. It has a close affiliation with Californian label Epitaph Records, who own the rights to distribute Burning Heart's output in North America. It also started a German office in Berlin in the end of 2003. Burning Heart has proven very successful in launching European (especially Swedish) bands to a global audience. Their successes have included The Hives, Turbonegro, The (International) Noise Conspiracy, Millencolin, No Fun at All and Refused. ''Vision'' is the first EP by Swedish melodic punk rock band No Fun at All, released on 7 July 1993. The EP's style is more hardcore than its follow-up '' No Straight Angles'' and other releases. In Flames
In Flames is a Swedish heavy metal band, formed by guitarist Jesper Strömblad in Gothenburg in 1990. Alongside At the Gates and Dark Tranquillity, In Flames pioneered the genres known as Swedish death metal and melodic death metal. During the band's early years, In Flames had a varying group of musicians recording with them, including many session musicians. By the release of ''Colony'' (1999), the group had established a stable lineup. Their sixth studio album ''Reroute to Remain'' (2002) showed the band moving toward a newer style of music that moved further away from melodic death metal and closer to alternative metal. This decision was criticized by fans of the group's heavier metal sound; however, it increased the band's mainstream audience and bolstered their album sales. ''Clayman'' is the fifth studio album by Swedish heavy metal band In Flames, released via Nuclear Blast on 3 July 2000. It has a dark theme, with most of the lyrics dealing with depression and internal struggles. ''Clayman'' is the final In Flames album to feature their original melodic death metal sound. The band would later start to experiment with other styles on their next release, ''Reroute to Remain'', gradually progressing these more experimental elements across their future releases later into the 2000s. Like on some songs on the previous album ''Colony'' the band tuned their guitars to drop A# on the songs ''Pinball Map'' and ''...As the Future Repeats Today''. The album's cover art is based on Leonardo da Vinci's ''Vitruvian Man'' drawing. The Jester Head appears in the background, both on the cover, and in the album booklet itself. Gang Green
Gang Green is an American punk rock band originally from Braintree, Massachusetts. Chris Doherty (guitar), Bill Manley (bass) and Mike Dean (drums) started the band in 1980 and broke up in 1983. Doherty reformed Gang Green the following year, and the band experienced numerous lineup changes until its dissolution for the second time in 1992. Doherty has been the band's only constant member and has kept Gang Green active from 2005 onwards. The band was influential in the formation of the East Coast hardcore punk scene, and went on to become one of the forerunners of crossover thrash and speed metal in the late 1980s. A maxi single or maxi-single (sometimes abbreviated to MCD or CDM) is a music single release with more than the usual two tracks of an A-side song and a B-side song. The first maxi singles Mungo Jerry's first single, " In the Summertime" was the first maxi single in the world. The term came into wide use in the 1970s, where it usually referred to 7-inch vinyl singles featuring one track on the A-side and two on the B-side. The 1975 reissue of David Bowie's "Space Oddity", where the featured song is coupled with " Changes" and " Velvet Goldmine", is a typical example.
