Allure (band)
Allure is an American New York-based R&B girl group that formed in the 1990s as a quartet. Now a trio, they are best known for their hit single " All Cried Out" with 112, which reached #4 on the Billboard Hot 100. Original members were Alia Gray (née Davis), Hem-Lee (aka Linnie Belcher), Lalisha Sanders, and Akissa Mendez. Career Allure is an R&B girl group from Long Island, New York that originally consisted of Alia Davis, Akissa Mendez, Lalisha McClean and Linnie Belcher. Alia, Akissa, and Lalisha were attending the Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School in New York City when they decided to become a girl group. They added Linnie Belcher, who was attending the Julia Richman High School at the time. For the next two years, the girls rehearsed and found management connections which brought them to the attention of Poke (from production team Track Masters). Cleansing (album)
''Cleansing'' is the fourth album by the American heavy metal band Prong, released on January 25, 1994 by Epic Records. It was produced by Terry Date, whereas Prong's previous two albums had been produced by Mark Dodson. The album features ex-Killing Joke members Paul Raven on bass guitar and John Bechdel on keyboards and programming. Featuring an industrial-influenced sound, the record received moderate commercial success. The single "Snap Your Fingers, Snap Your Neck" received a commercial interest; its music video received heavy rotation on MTV and was featured on an episode of ''Beavis and Butt-Head''. As a part of the album's promotion, the band toured with Sepultura and Pantera as an opener for their ''Chaos A.D.'' and '' Far Beyond Driven'' tours, respectively. The record was reissued by SPV/Steamhammer in 2008. ''To Survive'' is the second album by Joan as Police Woman. It was released on June 9, 2008, on CD, LP and digital download. The album was released by Reveal Records in the United Kingdom, by Cheap Lullaby in the United States, and by PIAS in Europe and the rest of the world. The album cover is a reference to Virginia Woolf; with the photography by Matt Mahurin. In 2009, it was awarded a silver certification from the Independent Music Companies Association, which indicated sales of at least 30,000 copies throughout Europe. Reception The album received generally favorable reviews, earning a metascore of 76 on Metacritic. It was an Editor's Pick in the July 2008 issue of '' Paste'', and ranked at #43 in '' Qs 50 Best Albums of the Year.
