''No Man's Land'' is a thriller novel written by American author David Baldacci. This is the fourth installment in the John Puller book series. The novel addresses a mystery hinted at in the previous novels: the disappearance of Puller's mother. In doing so, Puller is forced to revisit his childhood memories. Baldacci has said "in this book I was able to go back and allow ullerto see his childhood through his own eyes. I hoped to humanize him and deepen his character." David Baldacci (born August 5, 1960) is an American novelist. An attorney by education, Baldacci writes mainly suspense novels and legal thrillers. Biography Early life and education David Baldacci was born and raised in Richmond, Virginia. He graduated from Henrico High School and earned a B.A. in political science from Virginia Commonwealth University and a Juris Doctor from the University of Virginia School of Law, after which he practiced law for nine years in Washington, D.C. He is of Italian descent. Career Baldacci began writing stories as a child, when his mother gave him a notebook in which to record them. The 75th Ranger Regiment, also known as Army Rangers, is the U.S. Army's premier light infantry unit and special operations force within the United States Army Special Operations Command.
