Toby Claude
Toby Claude (born Harriette Mary Kavanagh; January 29, 1877 – October 27, 1962) was an Irish actress and singer in vaudeville, on the Broadway stage, and in silent films. Early life Harriette Mary Kavanagh was born in Dublin. Her father Richard Kavanaugh was Irish; her mother Angelina Claude was an "English burlesque actress". She began using the name "Toby" as a girl, after a dog on the cover of ''Punch'' magazine. Career Toby Claude's stage credits included roles in ''The Belle of New York'' (1900), ''The Cadet Girl'' (1900), ''The Prima Donna'' (1901), '' Floradora'' (1902), ''The Belle of Broadway'' (1902), ''The Baroness Fiddlesticks'' (1904). and ''Fantana'' (1906). Tom Wilson (August 27, 1880 – February 19, 1965) was an American film actor. Biography Wilson was born in Helena, Montana, in 1880. Appearing in more than 300 films between 1915 and 1963, Wilson had notable supporting roles in the silent film era, like "The Kindly Officer" in D. W. Griffith's epic ''Intolerance'' (1916), the angry policeman in Charlie Chaplin's ''The Kid'' (1921), and a boxing coach in Buster Keaton's comedy ''Battling Butler'' (1926). After the rise of sound film, he was reduced to small roles for the rest of his long film career. Wilson died in 1965 in Los Angeles, California.
