Nnamdi Moweta
Nnamdi Moweta (born March 27, 1958), is a radio personality, music producer, music supervisor, music promoter and consultant. He is the host of Radio Afrodicia, a radio show on KPFK, a listener-sponsored radio station based in Los Angeles, California. With an audience of approximately 50,000 listeners weekly, Moweta is the only African-born radio host in Los Angeles, California. In 2011, Moweta was featured on Reuters Africa Journal segment about African DJs in the United States. Moweta is recognized by UCLA's ethnomusicology program as an expert in the field of African and African-influenced music—he has served as a panelist for UCLA's annual ethnomusicology conferences which attempt to educate the public about global arts and cultures. Jos Plateau
The Jos Plateau is a plateau located near the centre of Nigeria. The plateau has given its name to the Plateau State in which it is found and is named for the state's capital, Jos. The plateau is home to people of diverse cultures and languages. The plateau's montane grasslands, savannas, and forests are home to communities of plants and animals distinct from those of the surrounding lowlands and constitute the Jos Plateau forest-savanna mosaic ecoregion. Geography It covers 8600 km² and is bounded by 300–600 m escarpments around much of its boundary. Chief Stephen Osita Osadebe (March 17, 1936 – May 11, 2007), often referred to as just Osita Osadebe, was a Nigerian highlife musician from Atani. During his career spanning over four decades, he became one of the best known musicians of Igbo highlife. His best-known hit was the 1984 single " Osondi Owendi", which established him as a leader in the highlife genre and was one of Nigeria's most popular records ever. Lateef Olalekan Kayode (born March 3, 1983) is a Nigerian professional boxer who challenged for the WBA cruiserweight title in 2015. Professional career On December 3, 2010 Kayode knocked out American Edward Charles Perry on a Showtime boxing card. Kayode showed a much more relaxed demeanor in the ring than in his previous ShoBox appearances. In the 6th round he perfectly placed a right hand down the pipe that connected on the left side of Perry’s jaw, sending him sprawling to the ground once more.
