Nika Wodwood (russian: Ника Водвуд; born October 20, 1993, Protvino, Moscow Oblast), better known as nixelpixel, is a Russian intersectional feminist and cyber activist who maintains her video blog on the YouTube. The most famous feminist in Russia, according to the publication Meduza. Biography Wodwood was born on October 20, 1993 in Protvino. Parents are design engineers, employees of the Mars, Incorporated. In 1999, her parents went on a business trip to the UK, and Veranika moved with them to a suburb of London, where she lived for two years. Returning to Russia, Wodwood entered school in Stupino. In 2011-2015, she studied at the Faculty of Sociology of the Higher School of Economics. Protvino
Protvino (russian: Протвино́) is a town in Moscow Oblast, Russia, located about south of Moscow and west of Serpukhov, on the left bank of the Protva River. Population: History Construction of an urban-type settlement intended to house a large high energy physics research laboratory started in 1958, and the Rosatom Institute for High Energy Physics was opened here in 1965. The institute is known for the 70 GeV proton accelerator which was the largest in the world at the time it was launched in 1967, and other physics research. Town status was granted in 1989. The UNK Collider was the last big planned particle accelerator. Among the discoveries made at IHEP are that of antihelium and the Serpukhov cross-section effect.
