Niv Art Centre
Niv Art Centre is an Indian Art and Cultural Organisation in New Delhi, established in 2008. It is running an independent film festival in Kerala called Kazhcha-Niv Indie film Fest (KNIFF) along with Kazhcha Chalachithra Vedi called (KNIFF). Art Exhibitions Niv Art Centre has been facilitating art exhibitions to young and established artists across the country. Art Gallery Niv Art Centre also has an art gallery which provide space for art exhibitions. It had exhibited works of resident artists in Visual Arts Gallery, India Habitat centre, New Delhi. Art Gallery
An art gallery is a room or a building in which visual art is displayed. Kazhcha-Niv Indie Film Fest
The Kazhcha-Niv Independent Film Festival (KNIFF) is a film festival for independent cinema in India held annually in Thiruvananthapuram. The festival debuted in 2017, and is hosted by Kazhcha Chalachithra Vedi, a local film society, in collaboration with Niv Art Centre, an Art and Cultural society in New Delhi. The festival is held in December parallel to the International Film Festival of Kerala (IFFK). History The festival was launched to overcome the rejection process in the International Film Festival of Kerala. Director Sanal Kumar Sasidharan pulled his film, '' Sexy Durga'', which had previously won Tiger Award in the International Film Festival Rotterdam (IFFR) from the Malayalam Cinema Today section of IFFK, and alleged that the festival was not giving due respect to independent films. Kazhcha Chalachithra Vedi
Kazhcha Chalachithra Vedi or Kazhcha Film Forum is a film collective in Kerala, India. It started in the year 2001 at Neyyattinkara thaluk in Thiruvananthapuram district as a collective effort of film lovers. It has produced three short films. In the year 2013 the film society has been registered under the Travancore-Cochin Literary, Scientific and Charitable Societies Registration Act, 1955. About Kazhcha Chalachithra Vedi has produced its first movie "Wonder World" with crowd funding. "Wonderworld" was scripted and directed by Sanal Kumar Sasidharan, Camera was handled by Sunny Joseph and the film was edited by Beena Paul. Lalit Kala Akademi
The Lalit Kala Akademi or National Academy of Art (LKA) is India's national academy of fine arts. It is an autonomous organisation, established in New Delhi in 1954 by Government of India to promote and propagate understanding of Indian art, in and outside the country.
