Nipmuc Regional High School
Nipmuc Regional High School is a public high school in Upton, Massachusetts, United States, part of the Mendon-Upton Regional School District. Nipmuc Regional High School is located on a fifty-acre wooded lot in Upton, Massachusetts, in the Blackstone Valley region of the state. It serves the towns of Mendon and Upton through a cooperative arrangement established in 1961. In addition to Nipmuc Regional, there are three other schools in the Mendon-Upton Regional School District: Miscoe Hill Middle School, Clough Elementary School (Mendon,) and Memorial Elementary School (Upton.) The year-round population of the two towns is respectively 5,876 and 7,640. Nipmuc Regional High School Logo
The Nipmuc or Nipmuck people are an Indigenous people of the Northeastern Woodlands, who historically spoke an Eastern Algonquian language. Their historic territory Nippenet, "the freshwater pond place," is in central Massachusetts and nearby parts of Connecticut and Rhode Island. The Nipmuc had sporadic contact with traders and fishermen from Europe prior to the colonization of the Americas. The first recorded contact with Europeans was in 1630, when John Acquittamaug (Nipmuc) took maize to sell to the starving colonists of Boston, Massachusetts. Tom Grant (baseball)
Thomas Raymond Grant (born May 28, 1957) is a former Major League Baseball player who played for the Chicago Cubs in . He was primarily used as an outfielder but was also used as a pinch hitter. Early life and education Grant graduated from Nipmuc Regional High School in Upton, Massachusetts and then attended the University of New Haven. While at the University of New Haven, Grant played on three NCAA College World Series teams and hit 26 home runs for UNH from 1976 until 1979. A power hitter, Grant helped take UNH to four NCAA postseason berths. and was inducted into the university's hall of fame in 1991. The Damallsvenskan, Swedish for ''ladies all-Swedish'' and also known as OBOS Damallsvenskan for sponsorship reasons, is the highest division of women's football in Sweden. It is also referred to as the women's Allsvenskan. The term Allsvenskan alone is used to reference the men's division. The division consists of a league of 14 teams. From 2013, the Damallsvenskan began operating on a system of promotion and relegation with the Elitettan. Early life New England Football Club Bloznalis played youth soccer for New England Football Club from U10 until U18. Boston University Bloznalis joined the Boston University Terriers as a freshman in 2013.
