Ning Cai (magician)
Ning Cai (; born 16 October 1982) is a Singapore Literature Prize nominated author. She is best recognized for her illusionist/escapologist stage character Magic Babe Ning and was named by Channel News Asia as Southeast Asia's first professional female magician. Cai has been credited with popularizing magic in Singapore. In October 2014, Cai announced her retirement from performing as Magic Babe Ning to focus on her writing career. Her 2016 Singapore Literature Prize nominated autobiography ''Who Is Magic Babe Ning?'' was published soon after''.'' She made a brief return to magic as the Mind Magic Mistress in 2017. To date, she has published three nonfiction books and two fiction books. Her latest bestselling crime fiction novel ''Misdirection'' is the first in a young adult trilogy. Lianhe Wanbao
Lianhe Wanbao (; literally Joint Evening News) was a Singapore Chinese afternoon newspaper published daily by SPH Media Trust from 16 March 1983 after the merger between ''Nanyang Siang Pau'' and '' Sin Chew Jit Poh''. ''Lianhe Wanbao'' focused mainly on local and entertainment news with minimal international coverage. As such it was in competition with another SPH paper ''Shin Min Daily News''. Amongst Singapore readers ''Lianhe Wanbao'' was often regarded more of a tabloid published in broadsheet form, and the veracity of some reports (mostly reproduced from tabloids or gossip magazines from Hong Kong or Taiwan) was sometimes questioned. Neil Humphreys (born 5 December 1974) is an author and Singapore resident. Brought up in Dagenham, London, England, Humphreys migrated to Singapore in 1996, left for Australia in 2006 and came back to Singapore in 2011. Terry Moore (born 1954) is an American cartoonist, known for the series ''Strangers in Paradise'', '' Rachel Rising'', and the founding of Homage Comics.
