10 Regional is an Australian Television broadcasting in Australia, television network owned by Southern Cross Austereo that is broadcast in Queensland, New South Wales, Australian Capital Territory, Victoria (Australia), Victoria and South Australia. The network is the primary affiliate of Network 10 in most regional areas. History Origins Southern Cross began as a small network of three stations in regional Victoria. The ''Southern Cross TV8'' network comprised GLV/BCV, GLV-10 Gippsland, BCV-8 Bendigo, Victoria, Bendigo, and STV (TV station), STV-8 Mildura, Victoria, Victoria. GLV was the first Regional television in Australia, regional television station in the country, launched on 9 December 1961. BCV-8 launched in the same year, on 23 December, while STV followed four years later, on 27 November 1965. The Nine Network (stylised 9Network, commonly known as Channel Nine or simply Nine) is an Australian commercial free-to-air television network. It is owned by parent company Nine Entertainment and is one of five main free-to-air television networks in Australia. From 2017 to 2021, the network's slogan has been "We Are the One". Since 2021, the network has changed its slogan back to the iconic Golden Era slogan "Still the One". As of 2022, the Nine Network is the second-rated television network in Australia, behind the Seven Network, and ahead of the ABC TV, Network 10 and SBS.
