Nine News Queensland
''Nine News Queensland'' is the flagship state-based news bulletin of the Nine Network in Brisbane. It is screened across Queensland on weeknights, while on weekends it is also screened on a half-hour delay in the Northern Territory. Like all ''Nine News'' bulletins, the Queensland bulletin runs for one hour, from 6PM every day. It comprises local, national and international news, as well as sport, weather and finance. Unlike the other four metropolitan bulletins, this local edition of ''Nine News'' is addressed on-air by its state rather than its city. Simulcast The 6pm bulletin is simulcast in Brisbane on commercial radio station River 94.9, across regional Queensland on the WIN Network as well as through Nine Darwin (on weekends only) and throughout remote eastern and central Australia on Imparja Television. Andrew Lofthouse
Andrew Lofthouse (born 1962 or 1963) is a television and radio newsreader based in Brisbane, Australia. The former teacher is the weeknight presenter of ''Nine News Queensland'' with Melissa Downes, having previously presented on weekends. Prior to working at ''Nine News'', he presented the weekday evening news bulletin of '' ABC News Queensland'', as well as reading the news on the 612 ABC Brisbane radio station on weekday afternoons. Lofthouse started his broadcasting career at a community radio station on the Gold Coast and began working for ABC Radio (in Rockhampton) in 1990. He moved to ABC Radio Brisbane (then called 612 4QR, now 612 ABC Brisbane) at the end of 1993. In 2003, he began working on ABC television (whilst also reading ABC Radio news bulletins). Imparja Television (IMP) is an independent Australian television station servicing over , across six states and territories: Northern Territory, South Australia, Tasmania, Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria. It is based in Alice Springs, and is controlled by Aboriginal people through ownership by Imparja Television Pty Ltd. ''Imparja'' is the anglicised form of the pronunciation of the Arrernte word ''Impatye'', meaning footprints. John Schluter
John Schluter (born 1955) is an Australian journalist and weather presenter. Schluter currently presents a weekly "Flashback" report and is a fill-in weather presenter on ''Seven News'' in Brisbane. Career Nine Network Schluter presented the weather on ''National Nine News'' in Brisbane for nearly 25 years; he ended his affiliation with the Nine Network in September 2006. In the late 1980s, Schluter did voice-over work for Brisbane Ten (TVQ-0/10) but returned to Nine. He was subsequently replaced by weekend weather presenter Joseph May. Eva Milic (born 27 June 1978) is an Australian journalist who represented Australia at Miss World 2001. Milic is currently the presenter of ''Nine Gold Coast News''.
