Nine Lime Avenue
''Nine Lime Avenue'' is a studio album by Australian recording artists, Kate Ceberano. The album consisting entirely of cover versions. The album was a commercial success and was certified gold in Australia. Background Commencing in February 2007, Ceberano competed in series 6 of '' Dancing with the Stars'' Australia, (which Ceberano would go on to win). The album was recorded whilst she was competing in this series, in just three weeks. The record is a homage to her favourite songs of the 80's. Every song has been reinvented to mould the Kate Ceberano style. Catherine Yvette Ceberano ( or , born 17 November 1966) is an Australian singer and actress who performs in the soul, jazz, and pop genres, as well as in film and musicals such as '' Jesus Christ Superstar''. Pretenders are an English–American rock band formed in March 1978. "Brass In Pocket (I'm Special)" is a song by English–American rock band the Pretenders, released in 1979 as the third single from their self-titled debut album. It was written by Chrissie Hynde and James Honeyman-Scott, and produced by Chris Thomas. Originating as a guitar lick written by Honeyman-Scott, the song features a lyric that Hynde explained to be about the cockiness that one needs to effectively perform. Hunters & Collectors are an Australian rock band formed in 1981. Fronted by founding mainstay, singer-songwriter and guitarist Mark Seymour, they developed a blend of Pub rock (Australia), pub rock and funk, art-funk. The Psychedelic Furs are a post-punk band founded in London in February 1977. Led by lead vocalist Richard Butler and his brother Tim Butler on bass guitar, the Psychedelic Furs are one of the many acts spawned from the British post-punk scene.
