Nine Gold Coast News
''Nine Gold Coast News'' is a weeknight, local news bulletin of the Nine Network. It is screened on the Gold Coast, Queensland relay of Channel Nine from Brisbane. The bulletin first aired in 1996. Unlike all Nine News bulletins, the Gold Coast bulletin runs for thirty minutes every weeknight. It comprises mainly local news, as well as sport, weather and boating. ''Nine Gold Coast News'' is a regional news service for the Gold Coast, presented by Bruce Paige and Eva Milic and weather is presented by Luke Bradnam. The bulletin airs at 5:30pm on weeknights as an opt-out broadcast on QTQ-9's Gold Coast transmitters, before the main 6pm Brisbane edition of Nine News. Eva Milic
Eva Milic (born 27 June 1978) is an Australian journalist who represented Australia at Miss World 2001. Milic is currently the presenter of ''Nine Gold Coast News''. Career Milic completed a Bachelor of Business degree in 2001 after graduating from St Michael's College on the Gold Coast. After graduating she launched herself into modelling and she was crowned Miss World Australia and represented Australia at the international Miss World contest. Milic graduated from Griffith University with a Master of Journalism and Mass Communication degree in 2005 and received awards in academic excellence. It was during her university studies in January 2004 that Milic was offered a freelance position with ''Nine Gold Coast News'', replacing Natalie Gruzlewski as the program's full-time weather presenter in January 2006. Natalie Gruzlewski (born 1977) is an Australian television presenter. Career Gruzlewski studied journalism at Griffith University after finishing school. Her career began on the Gold Coast as host of Prime Television's ''Surf TV'', a beach and surf conditions program. In 1999, she joined the Nine Network as weather presenter on the network's ''Nine Gold Coast News'' bulletin. She acquired a national identity as 'Lady Luck' on ''The NRL Footy Show'' in 2002–2003. In 2004, Gruzlewski joined Nine Network's travel program '' Getaway'' as a full-time presenter. She has also hosted the reality series ''The Farmer Wants a Wife''. Wendy Kingston (born 25 June 1981) is an Australian journalist and television news presenter. Kingston was previously a presenter of '' Nine Afternoon News Queensland'', as well as other national bulletins from Sydney. Career Kingston's media career began in 2000 working as a reporter and newsreader for ABC Radio Brisbane, before moving to ABC Radio Rockhampton. In 2001, she moved to ''WIN News'' as reporter and fill-in newsreader for the Toowoomba bulletin. Karl Stefanovic ( sr-Cyrl, Карл Стефановић; born 12 August 1974), also spelt Karl Stefanović, is an Australian television presenter and journalist for the Nine Network. Stefanovic is currently a co-host of the Nine Network's breakfast program ''Today'' and presents for ''60 Minutes''. Melissa Downes (born 17 September 1973) is an Australian broadcast journalist. Downes is currently a co-presenter of ''Nine News Queensland'' alongside Andrew Lofthouse. Career Downes first worked with Seven Brisbane where she was a reporter, fill-in presenter and also co-hosted a live 5pm local magazine show. After joining Nine Brisbane in 2001, Downes reported on the road and acted as fill-in weekend presenter before assuming that role full-time in 2006. QTQ-9
QTQ is an Australian television station, licensed to, and serving Brisbane, Queensland. It is owned by the Nine Entertainment Co., and is part of the Nine Network. It broadcasts on VHF Channel 8 ( digital). QTQ began broadcasting on 16 August 1959 as the first commercial television station in Queensland. QTQ-9 is the home of the NRL coverage. The term opt-out refers to several methods by which individuals can avoid receiving unsolicited product or service information. This option is usually associated with direct marketing campaigns such as e-mail marketing or direct mail. A list of those who have opted out is called a Robinson list.
