Nina Prešiček (born 3 December 1976) is a Slovenian pianist. Born in Kranj, in 2000 Prešiček completed her piano study at the State University of Music and Performing Arts Stuttgart. She furthered her studies in France (Thérèse Dussaut), Austria (Jörg Demus), Germany (Arbo Valdma Arbo Valdma (born 20 February 1942 in Pärnu) is an Estonian pianist and music pedagogue. Kranj (, german: Krainburg) is the third-largest city in Slovenia, with a population of 37,941 (2020). It is located approximately northwest of Ljubljana. The State University of Music and Performing Arts Stuttgart is a professional school for musicians and performing artists in Stuttgart, Germany. Founded in 1857, it is one of the oldest schools of its kind in Germany. Thérèse Dussaut
Thérèse Dussaut (born 20 September 1939) is a French pianist and music educator. Life Born in Versailles, the daughter of composers Robert Dussaut and Hélène Corvatti, Thérèse Dussaut studied piano in France with Marguerite Long and Pierre Sancan and in Germany with the Russian pianist Vladimir Horbowski. She won prizes at the Conservatoire de Paris and the State University of Music and Performing Arts Stuttgart. In 1957 she won first prize at the ARD International Music Competition in piano. After graduation, she began an international career as a concert pianist. Her repertoire includes works by contemporary composers such as Charles Chaynes's Piano Concerto and Léon Mouravieff's ''Strophe, Antistrophe and Epode''. Jörg Demus
Jörg Wolfgang Demus (2 December 1928 – 16 April 2019) was an Austrian classical pianist who appeared internationally and made many recordings. He was also a composer and a lecturer at music academies. In composition and playing, he focused on chamber music and ''lieder''. He played with singers such as Elisabeth Schwarzkopf and Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau, as a piano duo with Paul Badura-Skoda, and with string players such as Josef Suk and Antonio Janigro. Demus was instrumental in bringing the historic fortepiano to concert podiums. He was a member of the Legion of Honour, among many awards. He is regarded as one of the leading Austrian pianists of the immediate post-World War II era. Arbo Valdma (born 20 February 1942 in Pärnu) is an Estonian pianist and music pedagogue. He is a professor of piano at the University of Music in Cologne (Germany). He received his musical education at the Music Academy in Tallinn (Estonia) under Bruno Lukk (himself a student of Arthur Schnabel and Paul Hindemith) and later with Nina Emelyanova (a former student of Samuel Feinberg) at the Tchaikovsky Conservatory in Moscow (Masters and Doctorate degrees). Piano Concerto No
The piano is a stringed keyboard instrument in which the strings are struck by wooden hammers that are coated with a softer material (modern hammers are covered with dense wool felt; some early pianos used leather). Dejan Prešiček
Dejan Prešiček (born 21 December 1970 in Celje) is a Slovenian saxophonist and politician. He graduated from the Music Academy in Frankfurt and continued his studies at Jean-Marie Londeix's master class in Bordeaux where he won the gold medal and the prize of the city of Bordeaux for saxophone and for chamber music. At the "international Pierre Lantier competition" in Paris he won the 3rd Grand Prix for chamber music.
