Nils Fredrik Julius Aars
Nils Fredrik Julius Aars (9 March 1807 – 11 June 1865) was a Norwegian priest and politician. He was born in Enebakk as a son of priest and politician Jens Aars (1780–1834) and his wife. His grandfather had migrated to Norway from Aars, Denmark in 1757. Aars married Sophie Stabell, and the couple had several children, including writer Sophus Christian Munk Aars. Nils was also an uncle of banker and politician Jens Ludvig Andersen Aars and a first cousin of educator Jacob Jonathan Aars. He was elected to the Norwegian Parliament in 1848 and 1851, representing the constituency of Finmarkens Amt. He was a vicar there. Enebakk is a municipality in Akershus in Viken county, Norway. It is part of the Follo traditional region. The administrative centre of the municipality is the village of Kirkebygda. The parish of ''Enebak'' was established as a municipality on 1 January 1838 (see formannskapsdistrikt). The part of Enebakk lying east of lake Øyeren was transferred to Fet municipality in 1962. Jens Aars
Jens Aars (1 October 1779 – 27 March 1834) was a Norwegian priest and Member of Parliament. Jens Aars was born in Christiania (now Oslo, Norway). He was the son of district stipendiary magistrate Jacob Aars (1736–1807), who had migrated to Norway from Aars, Denmark in 1757. He was a student at Christiania Latin School and earning his theological degree with honors in 1801. In 1804 he became assistant pastorat Rødøy Church, in 1806 substitute priest in Enebakk in Akershus and in 1817 vicar to Hadsel in Nordland. He was transferred to Lier in Buskerud in August 1821. Aars was elected to the Norwegian Parliament in 1821, representing the constituency of Nordlands Amt. He was a member of the Parliamentary deputation to Stockholm in 1823. Sophus Christian Munk Aars
Sophus Christian Munk Aars (1 October 1841 – 11 April 1931) was a Norwegian civil servant and writer. He was a son of priest and politician Nils Fredrik Julius Aars (1807–1865) and his wife Sofie Elisabeth Stabel. He was a grandson of priest and politician Jens Aars and a first cousin of banker and politician Jens Ludvig Andersen Aars. He was a second cousin of philosopher Kristian Birch-Reichenwald Aars and architect Harald Aars. In 1885 he married Marie Fredrikke Schydtz (1804–1886). Munk enrolled as a student in 1861 and graduated with the cand.jur. degree in 1868. He was hired as a civil servant in the Norwegian Ministry of the Interior from 1872, and worked there until 1917. He was better known for his several books, having "won himself a name in the literature" of the day, starting with 1886's ''I skoven'' ('In the Forest'). Jens Ludvig Andersen Aars
Jens Ludvig Andersen Aars (23 December 1852 – 22 May 1919) was a Norwegian politician. He was born in Horten as a son of Jens Ludvig Aars and Anette Lund, a nephew of Nils Fredrik Julius Aars and a grandson of Jens Aars. In October 1876 he married Hansine Henriette Vogt (1850–1921). On the paternal side she was a sister of Svend Borchmann Hersleb Vogt, and niece of Volrath Vogt, and on the maternal side she was a granddaughter of Hans Holmboe and great-granddaughter of Jens Holmboe. Aars was known as the director of the bank Centralbanken for Norge. He was also the first chair of Oslo Chamber of Commerce. Jacob Jonathan Aars
Jacob (; ; ar, يَعْقُوب, Yaʿqūb; gr, Ἰακώβ, Iakṓb), later given the name Israel, is regarded as a patriarch of the Israelites and is an important figure in Abrahamic religions, such as Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. Jacob first appears in the Book of Genesis, where he is described as the son of Isaac and Rebecca, and the grandson of Abraham, Sarah, and Bethuel. According to the biblical account, he was the second-born of Isaac's children, the elder being Jacob's fraternal twin brother, Esau. Jacob is said to have bought Esau's birthright and, with his mother's help, deceived his aging father to bless him instead of Esau. The Storting ( no, Stortinget ) (lit. the Great Thing) is the supreme legislature of Norway, established in 1814 by the Constitution of Norway. It is located in Oslo.
