Nils Bølset
Nils Bølset (23 July 1928 – 18 August 2015) was a Norwegian diplomat. He was born in Veøy, was a cand.jur. by education and started working for the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs The Royal Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs ( Norwegian (Bokmål): ''Det kongelige utenriksdepartement''; Norwegian (Nynorsk): ''Det kongelege utanriksdepartement'') is the foreign ministry of the Kingdom of Norway. It was established on June ... in 1954. He served at the embassy in West Germany from 1979 to 1985, and the following three years he was back in Norway as a special adviser in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He was the Norwegian ambassador to Turkey from 1989 to 1992 and Australia from 1992 to 1998 before serving as a legal adviser the rest of his life. He died in August 2015 in Asker. Veøy
Veøy is a former municipality in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. The municipality existed from 1838 until its dissolution in 1964. It initially consisted of all of the present-day Vestnes Municipality, as well as the southern part of Molde Municipality and the northern part of Rauma Municipality. Vestnes Municipality was only part of Veøy for a few months in 1838 before it was made into a separate municipality. In 1964, the municipality was split between Molde and Rauma municipalities. Veøy Municipality was named after the island of Veøya, the administrative centre, where the main church for the municipality ( Old Veøy Church) was located. It was established on June 7, 1905, the same day the Parliament of Norway (Stortinget) decided to dissolve the personal union with Sweden. The ministry also has a Minister of International Development. Asker ( no, Asker), properly called Askerbygda in Norwegian, is a district and former Municipalities of Norway, municipality in Akershus, Norway. From 2020 it is part of the larger administrative municipality Asker, Viken (also known as Greater Asker) in Viken (county), Viken county, together with the traditional Buskerud districts Røyken and Hurum; Asker proper constitutes the northern fourth and is part of the Greater Oslo Region.
