Nilphamari-3 is a constituency represented in the Jatiya Sangsad (National Parliament) of Bangladesh since 2024 by Saddam Hussain Pavel. Boundaries The constituency encompasses Jaldhaka Upazila. History The constituency was created in 1984 from a Rangpur constituency when the former Rangpur District was split into five districts: Nilphamari, Lalmonirhat, Rangpur, Kurigram, and Gaibandha. Ahead of the 2018 general election, the Election Commission altered the boundaries of the constituency. Golam Mostofa (politician)
Golam Mostofa is a Bangladesh Awami League politician and former Member of Parliament from Nilphamari-3. Career Mostofa was nominated by Bangladesh Awami League in 2008 for the Nilphamari-3. He lost the election to Jatiya Party (Ershad), Jatiya Party candidate Kazi Faruque Kader, the son of Kazi Abdul Kader, former Minister of Pakistan. He was elected to Parliament from Nilphamari-3 as a candidate of Bangladesh Awami League on 5 January 2014. References
