Nilan Bisons Loimaa
LoKoKo Bisons Loimaa is a Finland, Finnish professional basketball club that is based in Loimaa. History The club was established in 1964 as Loimaan Korikonkarit. The team was renamed Bisons after it was promoted to the Korisliiga in 2011. The team won the Korisliiga, Finnish league championship in its first season in the league. Bisons won the championship once again in 2013, and qualified to play in European professional club basketball system, Europe's 2nd-tier competition, the Eurocup Basketball, Eurocup, during the 2013–14 Eurocup Basketball, Eurocup 2013–14 season. On 31 May 2016, Bisons Loimaa announced it will not participate in the top Finnish league due to financial problems and would join the second division. Arenas The club plays its national domestic league home games at the Loimaa Sports Center in Loimaa. Its VTB United League home games are played in Loimaa and at the Energia Areena in Vantaa. Korisliiga
The Korisliiga is the top-tier professional basketball league in Finland, comprising the top 12 teams of the country. In its current format, each team plays all other teams two times in the regular season, once at home and once away, for a total of 22 regular season games. The top six teams advances continues to upper stage and the bottom six teams plays lower stage after 22 games, 5 games at home and 5 games at away versus all other teams in stage. The best two teams from lower group joins to playoffs with upper group teams. Playoffs are played best of seven format, except the quarter-finals which are played best of 5 format. Pantterit holds the record for the most league titles won, with 14. The top level Finnish league for women is the Naisten Korisliiga. Basketball is a team sport in which two teams, most commonly of five players each, opposing one another on a rectangular court, compete with the primary objective of shooting a basketball (approximately in diameter) through the defender's hoop (a basket in diameter mounted high to a backboard at each end of the court, while preventing the opposing team from shooting through their own hoop. 2015–16 VTB United League
The 2015–16 VTB United League was the seventh complete season of the VTB United League. It was also the third season that the league functioned as the Russian domestic first tier level. CSKA Moscow was the defending champion, and the team successfully defended its title. Teams Krasnye Krylia withdrew from the league as the Samara Sports Palace was not adequate for the VTB United League (such as a minimum requirement of 3,000 seats). It planned to reapply for the 2016–17 season after renovations. In its place, Georgian Superliga side VITA Tbilisi was chosen in July 2015, the first side from that country to play in the league. All other clubs from the previous season were confirmed on the same occasion, along with a rough draft of a calendar. 2015–16 Korisliiga Season
The 2015–16 Korisliiga season was the 76th season of the top professional basketball league in Finland. The season started on October 3, 2015 and ended May 11, 2016. Kouvot won its fourth national championship this season. Teams Namika Lahti left the league after the 2014–15 season, because of a bankruptcy. 2014–15 VTB United League
The 2014–15 VTB United League was the 6th complete season of the VTB United League. It was the second season in which the VTB United League functioned as the new domestic first tier level for Russian professional basketball clubs, which can qualify through this league to EuroLeague. CSKA Moscow was the defending champion. CSKA successfully defended its title, as they took the league title by beating Khimki 3–0 in the Finals. Teams On 20 July 2014, drawing of two group of 11 teams was held in Moscow. On 25 July 2014, five Lithuanian teams (Lietuvos rytas, Neptūnas Klaipėda, Dzūkija, Lietkabelis, Nevėžis) withdrew from the competition due to the Lithuanian Basketball League's decision to expand its regular-season schedule up to 40 games per team. New format with double round-robin tournament was proposed for the 2014–15 VTB United League.

Ralph Lee Sampson III (born January 5, 1990) is an American former professional basketball player. He played college basketball for the Minnesota Golden Gophers. Yannick Ayrton Franke (born May 21, 1996) is a Dutch professional basketball player for PAOK Thessaloniki of the Greek Basket League.
