Niccolò Comneno Papadopoli
Niccolò Comneno Papadopoli ( el, Νικόλαος Κομνηνός Παπαδόπουλος, ''Nikólaos Komninós Papadópoulos''; 6 January 1655 on Crete – 20 January 1740 in Padua) was an Italian lawyer and historian of Greek origin. Life He was born to Zuanne (Giovanni) Papadopoli, a Venetian administrator at Candia, present day Heraklion. Papadopoli studied Canon Law and became a librarian at the University of Padua. In 1726 he published on the history of the university. That work contains gross inaccuracies (if not lies), for example regarding the life of Oliver Cromwell and Nicolaus Copernicus. Papadopoli had falsely claimed in 1726 that he had seen an entry of Copernicus in records of a "Polish nation" at the university. Nikos Papadopoulos (Swedish Politician)
Nikos Papadopoulos ( gr, Νίκος Παπαδόπουλος; born 1939) is a Swedish Social Democrat politician, born in Greece. Papadopoulos was born in a small village near Kavala, Greece, in 1939. His grandfather was a member of the Greek parliament, and as a consequence, their house was always open. Nikos claims that these childhood experiences gave him an understanding of how important empathy and solidarity is to humans. After finishing secondary school, he had to look for further education abroad, as his chances of getting into a Greek university were at the time very slim. In 1962, he emigrated to Sweden, and later studied at Stockholm University. Politics Papadopoulos campaigned in the 1970s to give voting rights to non-citizen immigrants in Swedish municipal and county councils. Nicholas Charles Papadopulos (born 1966) is a Church of England priest and the Dean of Salisbury. Papadopulos was educated at the King's School, Rochester, before gaining a degree in history from Gonville and Caius College, Cambridge. After studying law at City University, London, he worked as a barrister practising criminal law for seven years before studying for ordination at Ripon College, Cuddesdon. He was the vicar of St Peter's Church, Eaton Square, from 2007 to 2013, and previously served in the dioceses of Salisbury and Portsmouth. Nikos Papadopoulos ( el, Νίκος Παπαδόπουλος; born 5 October 1971) is a Greek professional football manager and former player, who is the current manager of Greece national U21 team. He is mostly remembered for his 9.5-year spell in OFI. He has also played for Aris, Skoda Xanthi and Apollon Kalamarias in the top tier. In the later stages of his career he played in several clubs in the lower divisions. As a manager, he has coached several clubs in Greece and Cyprus. Nikolas Papadopoulos ( el, Νικόλας Παπαδόπουλος; born 22 April 1973) is a Greek Cypriot lawyer and politician. He has been Member of Parliament for Nicosia since 2006 and leader of centrist DIKO party since 2013. Papadopoulos chairs the parliamentary committee on Finance and Budget. He is the son of President Tassos Papadopoulos. Family and education Papadopoulos was born in Nicosia in 1973, the son of lawyer, politician and future president Tassos Papadopoulos and his wife Fotini.
