Nikos Boudouris
Nikolaos "Nikos" Boudouris (alternate spellings: Bountouris, Mpoudouris, Mpountouris) ( el, Νικόλαος "Νίκος" Μπουντούρης; born 25 September 1971 in Volos, Greece) is a retired Greek professional basketball player. Early career Boudouris started his basketball career with the youth team of Olympiacos Volou B.C., Olympiacos Volou. In 1989, he moved to P.A.O.K. BC, PAOK Thessaloníki, at the age of 18. Professional career While playing with P.A.O.K. BC, PAOK, Boudouris won the Saporta Cup, European Cup Winners' Cup in 1991, the Korać Cup in 1994, the Greek Basket League, Greek League championship in 1992, and the Greek Basketball Cup, Greek Cup title in 1995. Volos
Volos ( el, Βόλος ) is a coastal port city in Thessaly situated midway on the Greek mainland, about north of Athens and south of Thessaloniki. The 1999 FIBA European Championship, commonly called FIBA EuroBasket 1999, was the 31st FIBA EuroBasket regional basketball championship held by FIBA Europe, which also served as Europe qualifier for the 2000 Olympic Tournament, giving a berth to the top five (or six, depending on Yugoslavia reaching one of the top five places) teams in the final standings. The Greece men's national basketball team ( el, Eθνική Oμάδα Καλαθοσφαίρισης Ελλάδος) represents Greece in international basketball. They are controlled by the Hellenic Basketball Federation, the governing body for basketball in Greece. Greece is currently ranked ninth in the FIBA World Rankings.
