Nikola Hećimović
Nikola "Niko" Hećimović, also Nicholas Hećimovića (26 November 1900 – 25 April 1929) was a Croatian communist organizer and secretary of the Yugoslav branch of International Red Aid. Hećimović was born to a middle-class family in Zagreb; his father was a school administrator. In 1919 Hećimović completed his education at the National Business Academy (''Državnu Trgovačku Akademiju'') in Zagreb. While in school he was attracted to the egalitarianism of communist doctrine, and became one of the early members of the League of Communists of Yugoslavia, Communist Party of Yugoslavia. In 1919 he founded the newspaper ''Iskra'' which provided communist perspective on the news as well doctrinal education. He helped found the League of Communist Youth of Yugoslavia (SKOJ). In 1920 he went to Prague to study, but he returned to Zagreb the following year and resumed work in the SKOJ. Tomb Of The People's Heroes, Zagreb
The Tomb of the People's Heroes ( hr, Grobnica narodnih heroja) is located in Zagreb's central graveyard, Mirogoj. It was designed by the Croatian sculptor Đuro Kavurić and built in 1968. Buried in the tomb are not only the recipients of the Order of the People's Hero, but also some of the most notable workers' movement activists of Croatia and Yugoslavia. During the night of February 1, 2001, unknown group of vandals activated an explosive in front of the Tomb, which caused serious damage. The Scott catalogue of postage stamps, published by Scott Publishing Company, now a subsidiary of Amos Media, is updated annually and lists all the stamps of the world that its editors recognize as issued for postal purposes. Studio System by Gracenote, formerly known as Baseline StudioSystems, is an American e-commerce company. It was founded in 1982 and licenses its commercial entertainment database, known as Studio System. It is owned by Gracenote, a subsidiary of Nielsen Holdings. History James Monaco founded Baseline in 1982. Their primary product, an entertainment database, was launched in 1985. Mirogoj Cemetery
The Mirogoj City Cemetery (, hr, Gradsko groblje Mirogoj), also known as Mirogoj Cemetery ( hr, Groblje Mirogoj), is a cemetery park that is considered to be among the more noteworthy landmarks in the city of Zagreb. The cemetery inters members of all religious groups: Catholic, Orthodox, Muslim, Jewish, Protestant, Latter Day Saints; irreligious graves can all be found.
